I couldn't find anything on Rocket batteries exploding. I've only ever had one battery explode.

Are these any good?
I think the Varta 30 pack for $11 at bunnings may be a better option. I go through thousands of AA batteries a year for work and the varta ones seem to have comparable performance to energiser or Duracell.
Varta $11.98 / 30pk (price went up a bit), were my usual go to as well. For $0.40 battery vs $0.26 battery for these, it might be worth the risk.
I was recently informed that Varta are no longer made in Germany, as well.
there was South Korean brand called rocket both on car batteries and alkalines but alkaline side company went bankrupt a decade ago.
