    Bought $500 on the variable card the last offer and had issues where card was invalid. Got refunded after back and forth with Coles and Apple support. Was told that problems occurs more often on the higher value cards.

        I don't imagine this to be a widespread problem, if the sales receipt show all cards have been activated upon purchase. Good to be cautious if you can. But not everyone can redeem to account straight away. I am stashing for hardware purchase later myself.

      I bought 5x $500 and used them last night no problem. Even better I used them on an Edu Store Discount on MacBook Pro M3 and they gave me a Apple Voucher of $240.

      So in the end Retail Price was $2999. Edustore price was $2799 got 9.2% from 20x Flybuys + 1.3% Cashrewards = 10.5% so that’s worth $293. Then add $240 voucher. Thats $740 discount! Which is 25% off retail and 19% off Edustore!

    Bought $500 variable load last time at Coles, no issues with the points at all. Points got into my account after 1 day.

      x20 seems to be the standard. Who knows when x20 would disappear too. Get them while you can (if needed), I say.

      pretty sure the answer is no but it might work if you have a single giftcard (not redeemed in your account) and pay for apple care at the apple store

      Yes you can, but you need to take the gift card into a store (don’t redeem it into your account)

      I’ve done this previously in store with no issues

    Coles broadway just removed all their Apple Card’s. big glitch in the system. Half of all cards are getting declined. I was affected. Half my cards were refunded. Is anyone else facing this issue?
    Will this affect our 20x FB points ?
    I’m stressing now….

        I bought 1 x $500 gift card last night at Coles. I was going to buy more but the supervisor could not confirm that the $500 cards will get the x20 points. He suggested I called flybuys. I called flybuys this morning and they weren't 100% sure either but said that if it doesn't say on the offer that the $500 cards are not accepted, 'it is probably ok'. Well that's not 100% … The purchase from last night isnt showing on my card - still too early I guess.

        Has anyone bought the $500 Apple GC and got the x20 points for this particular deal?

        It ends tomorrow.

        Also, has anyone bought a MacBook Pro entirely with these giftcards? I assume I load my Apple ID and then just use the entire balance.

        If all ok I will get more today and tomorrow.

        PS: Are these gift cards ever available online to be purchased via Shopback or Cashrewards? I note the ongoing Cashrewards / Shopback deals 1.2 or 1.3% are not available for MacBook pros

          You can buy Apple gift card through ShopBack etc. but at significantly lower discounts.

          Also available through AGL/RACV/NRMA and various other portals at varying levels of discount.

    Bought 5x $200.

    Only two activated. I noticed as I picked up the receipt, so went to service desk and after a lot of phone calls and back and forth with their team, they refunded me $600.

    They are also in the process of taking down all Apple gift cards from their rack.

    This was about fifteen minutes ago.

        But given that it was an independent refund receipt, I may even receive the whole amount of Flybuys. (or none).

        I am thankful that the refund was immediately processed, and I can live without the Flybuys points to prevent additional personal hassle.

    UPDATE:

    I bought a $500 Apple GC and $18.90 of other stuff last night at Coles and 10,018 points have just been credited to my account now.

    Questions:
    1) If I buy multiple GCs is there any advantage / disadvantage to buying them all on one receipt or separate receipts?
    2) Can Applecare+ be purchased with giftcards?

      Regarding (1)…

      The only advantages for purchasing multiple gift cards across separate transactions are:

      • You will get a Coles fuel voucher for each transaction (assuming you are spending at least $30 on Apple gift cards).
      • You can avoid triggering the need for manager approval for a high-value gift card purchase.

      The main disadvantage is that it will take much longer for you to purchase all the gift cards you want to purchase, assuming staff will let you split the purchase of multiple gift cards across multiple transactions in the same visit (or on the same day).

      Regarding (2)…

      I believe the only situation where you are permitted (and are actually able to) purchase AppleCare+ using an Apple gift card as a payment method is at a physical Apple Store.

    Hi All, thanks for the sharing, but i'm a bit confused.

    So if I want to buy a bunch of giftcards, a. will that work (e.g. 4x $500)?, and b. will i receive a max of 50K points in 1 day?

    Given this expires tomorrow, it seems I can purchase only 50K worth, which equates to $250 worth of gifts cards (20k points per $100 gift card = 2.5 gift cards)

    Greatly appreciate any tips on how to maximize the benefits of this!

      20x not 200x,

      $100 is 2000 points, redeemable as $10 flybuys dollars.

      Woolworths 20x points on apple GC starts on wednesday so no rush if you miss at coles.

        Isn't it 20* the normal rate of points, so if you normally get 2000 points per? So i had interpreted that it was 20x * the rate of 2000 points per $100

        Or is it that the 20x multiple is already applied within the points outlined in the t&c's so $200 = 4,000 points?
