Amazon shows this is 20% off the regular price of $227.80. But that price is already very good. The cheapest I could find elsewhere was $245 from Computer Alliance. Most are high $200's or over $300.

It is fulfilled by Amazon UK, where the price is listed as £139.98 plus shipping (a lot more).

It has been cheaper before, but I have not seen that in recent months. 3 Camels show it the lowest ever on Amazon by a long way.

Are we expecting NAND to drop in Q1 24?

Plenty of deals beat the P5 Plus

it's not even a good gen 3 deal

        https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B099RHVB42?th=1

        better drive by all accounts,cheaper.

and in stock,in sydney for immediate delivery

        • While we're on the topic of SK Hynix, the Platinum is only $15 more.

          https://www.amazon.com.au/SK-Platinum-Internal-Compact-Facto…

About the same speeds as the Gold if it's being used on a Gen 3 device, but with a better controller and it immediately doubles itself in value when the user gets Gen4 access.

          • @Beyond: yeah if u can't

and honestly, find 15 dollars more for a pc part

Then you have FAR greater issues at play

There is no reason,to choose the Gen3 over the gen4 at that price

the P41 is rated and the NO 2 best SSD on the market,it's pretty much a 990 pro buch cheper, cooler, and with a better warranty

            • @reader64: Well, unfortunately, the deal for the Platinum went away about 90 minutes ago.

We're all here to save a buck, if a user decides that that $15 was better spent towards something that they could utilize immediately as opposed to having to wait for a motherboard upgrade, then that's their choice.

Otherwise, people could end up like me and build a PC so slowly that by the time I put it together, everything was last-gen. Lol.

    SSD: Samsung
but this one is too expensive. It should be less than $100.

    • It should be less than $100

      according to what?

      • according to their 2 generations behind

980 pro recently around $145ish and $185ish which also had heatsink.

Would love a good deal on this to pair with one we already have but too much.

    • $143 with heatsink boxing day price. Mine haven't shipped yet.

  • Thanks for the post. Always apreciate a Samsung storage deal

I'm glad I made my purchase from the same seller back in August for around $136 each. Was worried I made the wrong decision back then when the downward price trend of SSD was occuring.

  • Think this is over priced you can get the much bettwr p41 2tb for this much also it has been around 140 mulyiple times before

  • But that price is already very good.

Terrible deal when the vastly superior Gen 4 Hynix P41 is currently $7 more

All time low for the 970 Evo is $272 for 2

  • P41 and SN850X are about $10 more for a much better product.

  • best price atm , good deal

This is not a good DEAL

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B099RHVB42?th=1

    Sk hynix 2tb p31

    Cheaper

    Runs faster,for longer,offers longer lifetime

    and runs 7c cooler.

    Australian stock

    and better performance

while the 970evo is a great drive, there are better gen 3 drives for cheaper, locally.

    You can grab a p31

or the Team force one for 159 all with dram, all 2tb all with better controllers

    • Exactly, and the P31 is around $20 cheaper at this time. Clearly the P31 is a better deal.

    • The SK Hynix P31 is an excellent and power-efficient product. However, as far as I know, they don’t officially sell in Australia. These are sold by SK Hynix EU, but it seems like Amazon has imported stock readily available.

      • they have heaps

        I got 3 P31 and 2 p41 last week when deal started,
        got them the next day..

SK hynic NVME here is called solidgim still for licensing

And you can get solid stuff at umart

  • Yeah I would only pay for this price if it’s 970 PRO

  • Doesn't seem great, 990 pro 2tb was 173 on the 25th
