      Caroma website has them for $1100 all up. From that, $179 seems like a bargain.
      But I suspect the RRP is so inflated, it should be illegal!

    It always seems difficult to tell with these high RRP bathroom fixtures.
    As far as I can see from the pictures, this Contura mixer looks near identical (just slightly bigger dimensions) to the Caroma Luna mixer at Bunnings for $138.

    Assuming it's similar quality, this package still seems a fair deal so I'll take the punt.

      I had this mixer and it lasted 3 years before it sprung a pinhole leak in the middle of the spout .
      I left a review on Bunnings site and it was never published …
      I replaced it with a cheapie as even the bad reviews stated they lasted a few years .

          @christianp3456: I took it back to Bunnings and they didn't want a bar of it .
          I emailed Caroma twice and never got a response .
          So I replaced it with a $50 tap and moved on as we needed a tap .

            @troyww: For future reference, if you didn’t you should have asked to speak to a manager. Some Bunnings staff (especially the older type) have a superiority complex and believe they have the right to refuse warranty. This happened to me so I spoke to their manager who sided with me and I got a refund.

              @OzBrogains: My last hot water storage system lasted 25 years without an anode replacement , It's not like I have corrosive water ,
              I wasn't going to fight for a poor quality tap . The RRP of these things is what I call magic bean pricing .
              As an aside I find the older staff at bunnings more knowledgeable and helpful than the young staff .

    Depends on existing setup. The basin mixer will be easy but the wall mixer may require some alterations.

  I kept buying Mondella from Bunnings. Last time they didn't have the mixer tap I wanted so I bought the Caroma. Yeah it's a little bit more. The quality is excellent. Was well worth spending the extra $$
