  • I paid $32 at woolies today for fairy platinum 70 pack which was on special ($0.46 per tablet) so this deal is 1c cheaper per tablet

    • +1

That makes this a good deal, a better product and cheaper!

  • Unless you're some type of feral with your dishes, the Aldi Logix Platinum tablets are the better option at 19c per tablet.

    • +5

I was just going to post the same thing - 45c per tablet is expensive.

    • +4

my first pack was Fairy Platinum Plus. It is really really good with visible difference compare to Logix Platinum. So it is not cheap for a reason.

I do agree Logix Platinum is way better value as long as you are not looking for the same result. I have been using that for three years now.

Since we are on the topic of Dishwasher Tablets, can someone recommend an aluminium safe one for washing rice cooker and mokapot 🙏🙏

      • I found the Aldi basic tablets 10x better when I took them out of the dissolvable wrapper before I put them in the machine. It’s a hassle but for the price they clean amazingly

      • Use liquid instead of tablet as tablets are a lot harsher… that's what I was told by my rangehood manufacturer for washing my rangehood filters.

        • That is what I am currently doing but liquid foams up and stop the cycle which need to wait the foam to go down a bit and restart.

          • @syswong: Not dishwashing liquid.. use the liquid for dishwashers

    • Aldi Powder even better, probably paying 1/10 of the price of tablets

    • I wash stuff down before putting in and with the Aldi ones there was always food ect. left on them still along with a horrible taste on glasses. I think it's because our dishwasher is old and shitty but the Fairy Platinum ones come out practically flawless if I do the long wash but shorter washes still leave food (apparently these Platinum Plus are even better for shorter washes).

    • +3

      thats an assumption based statement.
All dw are not same quality, Aldi tablet performs poorly in low end dw while this Fairy tablet has a brilliant wash quality even in crapiest of the dw.

      • They rust high quality cutlery in mine, the corrosives are probably too good

        • What type of metal? Did you read if the cutlery can be use in dishwasher at all?

That is why I asked if anyone know an aluminium safe option…..

        • your best bet is changing the rice cooker inner pot to stainless steel, quite a many available on Amazon that are dw safe

  • Got these for 9c each the other day on Amazon.

    I'll be good for awhile.

    • +3

      How?

      • The "Amazon warehouse"

        • I mean which deal got it down to 9c?

  • Any suggestions on a good cheap dishwasher? For a small family

    • +6

I wouldn't recommend putting a small family through a dishwasher.

      • +1

Haha yeah! Thanks for the tip

      • I disagree, especially like me and my wife both lazy at dishes. Dishwasher is life saver for us.

A three people family should get enough for a load everyday.

You do have to investigate if you have enough space and pluming available for the dishwasher.

        • +1

How much space and plumbing does one require to process a child through the dishwasher everyday? How do you deal with residue blocking the pipes and any subsequent investigation should anything be found in the local sewer system? I think it might be a life saver for me too - I'm done with those brats!

        • +2

I was making a joke about literally putting family members inside a dishwasher :)

        • +1

Joke went way over your head lol

Even when I was a single guy with the odd visitor I used my dishwasher though just to be clear I say dishwasher for all

    • +2

if space is not a constraint then get bosch dw from fb marketplace for approximately $500 to $600.
if space is a constraint then kogan benchtop dw is good.

      • thanks mate

      • if space is a constraint then kogan benchtop dw is good.

Interesting product. How do buyer do the pluming?

        • +1

its fairly diy just like a washing machine, if you show connector photos to bunnings staff they assist with adaptors which are mostly plug n play with no special plumbing required

          • @backupper1: You still need an intake an outlet….

I guess you will place it next to the sink and use the tap as intake with a y splitter? Outlet is obviously the sink, may be some strong tape to secure the pipe?

            • @syswong: yes correct, as I said its just like a washing machine installation.
e.g. place it next to kitchen or laundry sink or over the washing machine, use tap 1:2 splitters for input, put hose to the outlet, test and its done.

  • +1

just using 1kg powder from Coles/Aldi for sub $4

    • +3

Been using it or similar for years, perfectly fine. These tablet prices blow my mind and I just dont understand it.
Having said that, the powder is getting harder to find at times…

  • Any cashback with these?

  • The Reject Shop sells a 60 pack of Fairy Platinum Plus for $27 which works out to $0.45 per tablet.
