  • How much is 10,00 Qantas points worth?

    • About $100. More if you use it on high value stuff like business upgrades

      • Thank you for the response. From a quick glance, there doesn't seem to be any good deals there other than the China one but comments from the China deal says otherwise

        • Agreed. So if you spend 5000, you will get a total of 25,000 points which in terms of cash is worth $250 and about $250-400 when used to redeem flights

    • 10k Got me an upgrade to business Perth>melb

    Trip a deal…

If anyone chooses to tavel to China
Please check if you actually fly with Qantas.
I have heard you fly with China Airlines.!
Unsure if you get the full Qantas points.

If your single, you pay single supplement
But, tripadeal China makes you share hotel room with another single person
    Then hotel sells your room.
    Absolutely nil single supplement refund.

China tours have compulsory visits to places and more money spent…
Tea Village, Silk factory, Chinese medicine Doctor

Tripadeal China take over the China tours in China, any complaints avoid wasting your time complaining in Australia.

Unsure if the above info. is the case with other
holiday deals with trip a deal or with other company tours.

    Travel suggestions… Please …

    • ask many questions about any tours.
eg.. Is it compulsory to go to….?
    • read reviews, no matter how old they are
    • analyse any tours…
what am I actually doing / seeing.
am I visiting places which mean nothing - tea village - or spending extra money seeing sights.
    • if tour has options, paying extra -
YouTube or look at images about the option and see if it interests you.
If definitely no, Google what else you can do.
    • you might like to plan your own trip instead -
eg.. Google sights to see / do for free or $$
      OR
your travel agent could structure a tour

    Happy travels

    • That’s interesting. I’d never go with these guys but my mother in law has done a few trip a deal tours and the latest was Vietnam. What you say sounds a lot like what she did in Vietnam too. Lots of subsidised travel to umbrella makers, art shops etc. She said she didn’t buy anything but it’s a waste of your time while on holidays. She said often their hotel was on the outskirts of a city. She paid for lots of upgrades and had some nice places to stay as a result.

They’re cheap. You get cheap as a result.

I did a G Adventures tour of China about ten years ago and loved it. Out of the way places, interesting areas and no subsidised stops to silk or tea shops etc.

    • You expect red carpet for a 10 day trip include flights for 1k?

Lmao we can barely goto qold coast for 3 days for 1K. Also you're not obligated to spend more, Tripadeals facebook is full of positive reviews of the China trip.
