[NSW, NRMA] Up to 11% off Total Electricity Bill + Free $300 Elec. Credit on 1st Bill (NRMA Membership Req'd) @ Simply Energy

1390

The deal is back.

Simply NRMA plan
- 11% discount
- $300 welcome credit.

For myself, thats approx 4 months of free electricity for family of 4 with fridge, freezer, washing machine x 3 weekly, fans on 12hrs per day, etc

Can confirm that remaining of credit carries forward to next bill as i recieved my bill today from previous deal..

Works with NRMA blue membership, most ozbargainers have it anyways from the multiple freebie posts.

You'll receive a 11% Guaranteed Discount off our electricity usage and supply charges. Plus you will receive a welcome credit of $300 on your first electricity bill for this offer. This credit includes GST and is not redeemable for cash.

Unlike gas, electricity is churned within a week. So if you have an active free credit offer, make sure you time it right so you dont loose out on it. What i do is i monitor the meter and multiply unit price , and daily supply charge.

Got tracked for the same deal a couple of months ago via Cashrewards Econnex, and got rejected after two months then.
Sent the email to the support team, and they manually added the rewards back to my account after around 10 days of investigation.

  • never got this before LOL

"Unfortunately, we are unable to supply energy to this address."

  • I just signed up and after that I saw I could have earned cashback reward :(((

    • -1

That is with econnex. Not recommended as they usually reject cashback anyways lol

      • If I use www.cashrewards.com.au, then they will take care of the rest, I believe

        • CR only pay you if econnex approves it. Going from previous econnex posts, they have a tendency to reject the cashbacks.

          • @easternculture: Happened to me the last time I used them for internet. I complained to Shopback and received a smaller $15 compensation.

Used them for electricity in Sept and received the full $70 cashback.

Will try for this one and see if they honour it.

  • when I signed up, I was told the $300 credit isn't available for cash withdraw, which is fair enough.
On Monday, I rang to withdraw the credit in my account, over $550 with solar feed in. Had to give my bank account detail but the full amount landed in a day, not bad.

    • are you dawging them and switching?

      • +1

Not switching, 12c feed in tariff all day is still the best I could find.
No need to keep over $550 in their bank, better off in mine.
I didn't think they'll let me withdraw $300 credit, but surprisingly they did.

  • what the he*** , they denied me based on my credit check?

  • How do I combine with Cashback?

  • Expired now, back to $200 credit

Just spoke with Live Chat and they confirmed $300 off will still apply with the discount being applied on the first bill.
    Took screenshots and signed up

  • How can they allow this? I signed up and entered the incorrect address and the whole process was approved.

    wtf

    • Lol, you will be billed for someone elses usage lol

      • I told them im not going to pay. They said yeah yeah… hmmm

        • Do you want to sign up with my address?

          • @freedomofspeech: Up front fee payable to my western union account fee of 10,000 USD thx

  • anyone got the signed up offer screenshot, i didnt get anything other than a welcome email

    • +1

      nvm, found it

      • Also didn't get the $300 credit, can you share the offer screenshot?
How did you fix the credit?

  • $15 for 4 months electricity after $300 credit and successful churn , noice .

Next 3 months should be free with AGL $125 credit and $150 westpac mastercard.
