I'd recieved a board game that was busted inside the Amazon box, so it happened prior to packing it. Because it was shipped from the US they straight up refunded me and let me keep the parcel. No proof and no questions asked.

Good price, but all the comments you read on these kind of posts about Amazon selling resealed packs? Most of them relate to Amazon USA. It's far more prevalent there than in Amazon AU, so buyer beware.

What's the consensus right now about holding onto these boxes and making profits in a few years?It depends on how many reprints they do. However, these are a trendy set with a lot of valuable cards. I myself have been drawn back in by the nostalgia :(

More people than ever are buying boxes and keeping sealed meaning there should be a fair supply of these in the future.
One of the reasons why the 1999 set holds value is most kids who bought back then played with their cards too and didn't buy to keep sealed making it a more scarce resource.
In saying that, I'm going to keep an eye on this particular set because I'm a dad and it's a strong chance my kids will like pokemon like me so if I see a bargain I'm going to snag for the future because I'd it doesn't increase in value my kids and I can enjoy.

Same with cards, too. Nobody on the playground had cards even in sleeves, let alone binders, slabs, card savers etc. So many cards right now are straight from the packs into slabs which is why most of them won't grow too much in value.
Deal is back but for Amazon AU for $179.51.
I was tempted again but resisted. It is still really expensive in my opinion.

Ordered 2 x UPC.
Received today.
Both were shrink wrapped but the shrunk wrapping seemed sort of hard, not soft like the ETB.
Anywho, opened one and lo and behold, the 3 Mew promo were missing.
Another look and i saw all 16 boosters had been opened on one end.
Sigh.
So, I suppose I'll be contacting Amazon support for a refund.
Really can't be assed organising a return post.

Good price but my experience with Amazon US is you'll receive it looking like someone has drop kicked the box.
