    Yep. Also makes me wonder if something else is wrong with the product, given its regular price is >$5K. Surely some box damage doesn't equal a $2K price reduction? Seems too good to be true… And we all know what they say about that.

    @OP you should also add that warranty period offered is only 2 years, down from the standard 5-10 year warranty offered for this product from the manufacturer.

    I own a french door Hitachi for over 5 years. It has not missed a beat. It is not noisy either. The only difference is that it is made in Thailand and not Japan.

  I just return 2 Hitachi fridge 735L. Maybe here is the destination of my returns.

  First return bis a big dent on the side panel.

  Second replacement the delivery guys scratch the power cable, which the cooper can be seen..
