Paid $25 or so a month at Woolies about a month ago, and while I did use it towards a rewards point shop haven't seen it this cheap in a while, so still definitely a decent price.

Also by far the best product on the market.

      Username checks out

    • Doesn’t even make sense since many people can tolerate lactose just fine

      • although there comment was annoying and stupid, technical there is evidence that there is quite a lot of people who are lactose intolerant.

Not to the degree of not being able to enjoy milk, but the prevalence of lactose intolerance varies among different populations.

In some parts of the world, a majority of adults may be lactose intolerant, while in other regions, the prevalence is lower. For example, many people of East Asian, African, and Native American descent tend to have higher rates of lactose intolerance compared to people of Northern European descent.

@afoveht: What makes you think cows are innocent? I'm just trying to stop the next bovine Hitler one tender steak and glass of tiityjuice at a time.

        • +3

I think everyone is lactose intolerant. It’s just that the degree of intolerance manifests itself differently. For many they won’t notice it at all until it builds up over time while for others it’s a simple as acting as a laxative and then there’s the serious issues.

Plus you may be interested to know that the milk industry deliberately sold the idea of milk through massive campaigns in the 1920s onwards to make milk popular cuz no one drank it before then except for a few farmers and poor peasants. The industry also funded massive research projects to find “evidence” of health “benefits” of milk which accidentally discovered vitamins!!!! Kid you not. Look it up.

Got milk campaign made milk a staple of all households and I probably owe my upbringing to milk.

Anyway. Talking about this can be a little political cuz facts dont matter here judging from the negs on the post above lol 😂 but hey what are facts good for these days when they can become fake news 🤓

          • @foreverphoenix: It’s pretty suicidal to take milk without k2 and d3, plus it’s addictive nature and issues with whey and casein proteins, but how else do you create a population with calcified organs, arteries and whatnot that would then live on expensive pharmaceuticals lol Circle of life.

            • @frugalftw: It's essential to note that the consumption of milk and dairy products is not universal, and lactose intolerance is common in many parts of the world.

Different cultures have diverse dietary practices based on available resources, environmental conditions, and historical factors. The incorporation of cow's milk into human diets is just one example of the complex interplay between culture, nutrition, and the evolution of human societies.

So in essence you few here trying to push your agenda against the consumption of milk is not only insulting, naive, and judgemental but ridiculous if you think your opinion matters here in a post about bargains.

              Jog on

              • @FredAstair: Every word you said about ancestor diet is true and I completely agree. Except the milk you referred to is not the same thing as what we get in the stores today. Every culture has evolved to deal with their local food.

Interesting you think people are pushing an agenda, but you don’t see yourself doing the exact same thing? Opinions don’t matter, but open discussion does.

I was just about to purchase this when I stumbled upon this deal on Amazon
180 tabs (not sure if it's chewable), 9000 FCC ALU, so it's more than double the strength compared to Lacteeze 4000 ALU. So it works out to be cheaper

    • Has anyone used these before?

      • +2

I've used them for about a year. Great product IMO. And always cheaper than CM.

My only gripe - they taste like shit (they are chewable) and dry my mouth out (until I eat).

        • do you only take 1 given it is twice the strength of the Lacteeze?

        • +1

          Brand Best Naturals

          Flavour Fish

          Unit count 180 count
          label says No Fish

        • What's your own experience with timing for when to take these? Half an hour, right before or together with your food as you begin eating? When I tried the chemist warehouse ones years back went through the entire box without being able to figure out the timing or quantity needed as I still got the usual symptoms afterwards every time.

          • @johnjones8: Personally with the Best Natural tablets, I'll chew one tablet anywhere from 10mins to even a few mins after I've started eating/drinking dairy and if I continue or eat dairy again later (hour +) I'll have another. Different brands/strengths all seem to behave differently. Bit of trial and error.

Try different brands until you find one that works for you - there was one brand I tried that quite literally did nothing!

    • What’s the expiry on these?

    • +7

      "No Fish"

      Flavour: Fish

You've got to love Amazon lmao

    • Purchased 1 to try out, thanks!

    • +1

I use Nova Nutritions Lactase Enzyme 3000 FCC ALU 180 Tablets, and consume 500ml of full milk, no problem.

    • +2

Regular purchaser of these. Yes they work.

  • lac what?

Can I take these to stop lactating? Asking for a friend

  • iHerb is also pretty cheap. Esp when combined with cash back and coupons for 20% off.

    • Any links? Sounds interesting

  • Does this help with other reasons for excessive farting? Asking for a Mexican vegan friend.

    • No won’t help legume related flatulence

    • Try 'de-gas' tablets

    • No it doesn't, but I have tried beano with some success - can finally eat baked beans without them being a musical fruit! Hard to get in Australia, but you can order it from the US via Amazon. Unsure of availability in Mexico.

No click and collect? Why is CW website so irritating.

  • yes to lacteeze!

  • When do you guys take 2?

    • +1

      Before taco bell.

..maybe I'm not that lactose intolerant but I can't think of anything besides like a litre of milk that would make me take 2.

    • +1

Pretty much always take 2 these days when there might be a lot of lactose on the way.
