My card arrived today also. Could not activate it. Called the help desk number listed with the letter. The customer service rep advised that no money has been loaded onto the card and to contact Jameson's. I will post the reply once I contact them.

So since this is an eftpos giftcards, can we just use it buy something else, groceries say? Is there anything restricting the credit so that it must best used to buy Jameson?

Answered my own question… "Eftpos gift cards are not currently being accepted at Woolworths stores, including Woolworths, Safeway, Big W, BWS or Dan Murphys."

I registered mine (and the page mentioned having a credit of $21.99) but when i went to check the credit it said that the balance was $0Damn, I didn't see those posts above. Mine was activated yesterday, but I was at the register at 11:52.

can be used at any liquer store (bar Woolworths and others listed above as they are havent problems with the card there) and you can buy anything with it

Yeah, looks like you can use it anywhere. I tried Coles self checkout, but I hadn't waited until midday the next business day (I activated at 9pm and it didn't work at 2pm the next day, the balance showed as $0 when I checked balance online). I've checked it now a couple of days later and the balance says $21.99, so I'll try it at Coles later on, but others above have had success at Coles once you wait the "next business day" so I don't think it'll be a problem.

Used it at Coles. $16 used on the card for 2 mangos for $5, 2 toothpastes for $6 and 2 600ml diet cokes for $5. Apparently total savings were $5.54 (heh@coles marketing).
So, I should have $6 left on the card.
C'mon the company gave you the money so you could try their product for free… It's like if your friend gave you $22 to buy a 4 pack, but you bought groceries for them…

Yeah this sucks. I have tried the Cloudly Apple and wasn't a fan anyway. The apple and the whiskey just didn't mix IMO.
By the looks of things, they probably didn't send it to those with a fake facebook account with no friends (it's a promotion after all) or requested for multiple cards in one household :((
My friends got 2 sent to their house, and they have the same last name.
I got one sent under my real name and one under the name Sun Ming, hardly fake sounding. But I may have been caught by the system and my friends not.
I do not see why they would not send to those with a fake facebook name. The registration form is usually a third party app where you can put in your real name. I dont use facebook personally and my competititions/bargains account under a totally different name has never been a problem.

in sydney, received a week ago, activated, next day tried at coles didnt work but today works at WOOLWORTHS! bought doritos, V, oreo, etc $11, balance left stays in the card.
