Need Some Help: Coles eGift Card Become Invalid, Cannot Be Used Anymore

not sure if anyone experienced this

I have three coles egc from citibank reward , I used partial balance of them but has not finish all

recent week when I tried to use them in store, the barcode can be scan but showing invalid. "scan valid gift card" showing on checkout screen

I tried human checkout they manually enter egc number, still same

balance website showing remaining balance and egc is still active

calling coles gift card support they said it showing active all ok not sure why cannot be used anymore

very annoying !!!!!!!!

    How are you scanning the barcode?

      on the self service machine and ask the staff to manually enter the number on counter

      both result is invalid

        Sometimes the scanner may only capture part of the barcode. Just try more times.

      yes showing active with remaining balance.

    Try using them online for a click and collect order. Not sure what you want us to do.

      just tring to ask if anyone experience similar issue with their coles egc. that is all. because coles support saying all ok with them they donot know why it cannot be scan in store

      Also I do not think you can use coles egc for online order

    Coz for balance check, you only need a short serial numbers starting with 627…, but for purchase instore, you need a long serial numbers starting with 980…627… to be the barcode.

    Try 9801953396600 to be before 627…,

    or find a previous eGC to compare.

    This has never occurred with my egc before. Best to speak to Coles.

    I've had this exact same issue.

    You need to find the gift card from citibank again and make sure you are using the longer numbered card number to generate the barcode (or make sure you take a screenshot of the barcode from them). I use an app called Coles Cards and I was using the wrong number for barcode. Took me a while to figure it out because like you, I can use the number to check balance and it all checked out, but said invalid when I tried to scan it.

        If you open the coles cards app how many digits does the card no. have? Mine is like 30 numbers lol I scanned mine today and it worked fine.
