5%??? Not a bargain or even worth the hassle… i always get 10% off on items as a starting base to my haggles at good guys bing lee…

    • Appliances online are usually as cheap if not cheaper than the catalogue price in the good guys etc plus includes delivery, installation & removal of old device. I have only had really good experiences with them. 5% is a good deal.

I just bought a Westinghouse fridge for $1990 from good guys, Appliances online selling $2113 for the same thing(fridge + warranty + delivery). 5% discount just meet the shop price not a bargain at all. And I can claim $200 from Westinghouse but not shown on Appliance online.

Most times if the shops willing to negotiae price, they will do better than Applicances online.

    agreed, no deal for me

  • The single digit percentage discount is actually quite popular on here.

5% off Harvey Normans pricing is no deal, 5% off at an everyday price competitive company like appliances online is a deal.

    • +3

5% off HN's price is of course NOT a deal, but you are WRONG if you think Appliances's 5% off IS a good deal. Many stores like The good guys, HN…often have great promotions, package deals now. Appliances online Is a online store, should have all prices lower than the stores, but they are getting tight, not as good as before. I bought all kitchen appliances from them (got really good price because they didnt deliver on time) then I found the good guys had a package deal with much better price. So be careful, make sure you check other stores' price and let them match price before you buy from them. 5% off is definitely not good enough now!

Dyson vacuums on HN website are cheaper than your costs with 5% off.
    No deal

Hi ifak, we have a best price guarantee - if you're looking to pick up a Dyson machine, give the team a call on 1300 000 500. Thanks!

        Best price + 5% off ?

  • This is still a good deal. As the rep said, their standard prices are usually among the lowest online.

    • +3

Better to shop in a store for these kinds of products as you can haggle a better deal. Just had a look at a washer we bought 3 weeks ago. The LG WTH750. $747 on their website. Was $628 at the Good Guys

    • +3

Their prices are pretty average actually, and you can easily negotiate prices down in store. So this is a mediocre at best, not going to score a bargain with this 5% off .

I've used AO for a washing machine and BigBrownBox for electronics, but AO doesn't always have a cheaper price. A local Good Guys beat them (inc delivery) for a 500L fridge that I bought recently.

Still, 5% off at AO where the prices are generally very competitive if not the best is pretty good. Can't fauly AO's service either.

  • Do you have Panasonic NA-148VX3WAU washing machine available in WA?

    • Hi mysrh,
I've just spoken to Panasonic and we can get it into our warehouse in a couple of days. Feel free to give us a call on 1300 000 500 to find out more info!

  • Hi rep, do you sell the Samsung SRS606DHLS fridge? I am only able to find in the Hardly Normal stores since the last 2 months so just wondering if you have them OR expect to get them soon?

    • Hi Austin 316 - this model is exclusive to HN at present. We do have the SRS683GDHLS however. Hope this helps!

      • Thanks for the confirmation. I am sold on the SRS606DHLS so other fridges won't excite me as of now. But I am not going to buy it from HN at their hardly normal prices. I will bide my time till someone else has it on sale. So if you ever get information on it, please update us here.

Not sure why everyone is bagging this bargain….it's almost like a rent-a-crowd from the opposition.

As the rep said you can always call them up & haggle, just like a normal store.
And for those without a GG,HN,etc nearby they can do it over the phone. You don't waste much time doing it over the phone.

Sure some of their normal ticket pricing isn't as good as the deal at HN, GG, etc, but that's why you shop around.
Take their Westinghouse fridges for example, when we were looking they're 610lt fridge was $400 cheaper then the "best price" from HN, $300 then Masters (whom were still doing the beat it by %10, so we went with them).

  • nice, i went to binlee in my lunch break to have a check on samsung me6104st microwave. The marked price is $189, but willing to drop to 180, this is nearly as same as appliances offered. not attractive plus i dont want carry it back to my office. i then made my order online with appliances.com cz they offered free delivery.

    • +3

So you paid the exact same price as Bing Lee but you didn't have to carry a small microwave out of the store. Now you get to take a day off work to take delivery of it. Makes perfect sense to me.

  • +2

I was browsing fridges last week, and it had free delivery. When I browse them now, they all have significant delivery charges! Looks like they have added ~10% in shipping before activating the 5% coupon!

Also, even without considering shipping, the model I am looking at is $200 cheaper on Bing Lee website (and $400 cheaper when I went in and haggled this afternoon!)

I have used Appliances Online a few times in the past and it has been great value. Now it seems they have become popular and can charge more (or perhaps the brick-and-motar stores are hungrier for sales and AO doesn't know how to react!).

  • Awww :( I only bought something last Thursday with no coupon!
