  • Have tried claiming this deal twice now. 1st attempt I scammes my ER membership towards the end and the 10% off did not appear.
2nd attempt, scanned ER first, then scanned cards and 10% did not show on check out.
ADL based - wondering if it is state based
Has anyone else had this experience?

    • +1

This deals is not based on jurisdictions, because the instore posters says this is a national promotion. (You can find this on the bottom right-hand corner of the posters in small writing, where it says NAT.)

I also just checked the Woolworths catalogue for Adelaide, and it is advertised on there.

For either of your purchase attempts, after you finished scanning the gift cards and the Everyday Rewards card, did you press Pay Now to go to the payment screen?

Clicking through to Pay Now was the solution! Appreciate the advice!! Explains why the managers + check out workers were in aware

Bought one $30 and one $50 TCN Teen and am still unable to use my gift cards over 25 hours later.

17/1/24, 7.00pm: Bought two gift cards at local Woolworths.

18/1/24, 11.40am: Called TCN support and was advised to wait until 24 hours have passed. Operator confirmed she could see the money has been loaded onto the cards.

18/1/24, 8.35pm: Over 25 hours since the gift cards were purchased. Still unable to use my gift cards.

I tried registering the gift cards at Card.gift/register, but I'm getting "Request failed with status code 400".

I tried swapping it to the gift card of my retailer of choice, but I'm getting "Please check your Card Number and try again. Or contact us for assistance."

Ultimate Gift Card is much better. TCN is hopeless.

    • You might be able to find out some more information on why it's failing with that 400 code.

I'd recommending doing this in Chrome but all browsers have this functionality but it's just called something different.

Fill in the registration form on Card.gift/register but before you press "Submit" right+click on the page and hit "Inspect". A window will pop up with a few tabs, there should be one called "Console", open that. Next, press "Submit" on the registration form and you should see some action. For me, I had put the wrong pin for the card and I got "success - getcard" and "error" in the console. The error object didn't have anything useful in it so I explored "success - getcard". You should be able to click on the small arrow next to the wording to expand the section. From here, expand "data", then scroll through these fields. For me, it had "card_current_value: 'Invalid pin / error on getting current balance'".

Maybe here you'll get a better answer to what is going wrong.

I got it to work roughly 30 minutes ago (18/1/24, ~9.45pm), good thing the item I wanted was still available! But thank you for the technical details, it'll be good for next time and for other people!

    • I couldn't redeem mine because I had the expiry date wrong. If you check your balance you can get the right expiry date and try again

When you click 'register' on the TCN website it links to www.eftpos.gift/homepage#register not card.gift. That makes me think you aren't paying attention to other important details.

      • I can confirm https://www.eftpos.gift/homepage#register works to register.

I bought another TCN gift card and I successfully registered this gift card at eftpos.gift when it failed to register at card.gift/register.

Note that the physical packaging contains a QR code that links to card.gift/register. In addition to the QR code, the instructions specifically states that you may "head to www.card.gift/register" to register the gift card.

  • Hi - anyone tried multiple TCNs in Baby Bunting or should I convert them to B B gift cards? Thanks

  • Can the Good Food gift cards purchased from Woolies be converted to a digital gift card somehow (e.g. The Restaurant gift card)? Or is digital Good Food gift cards discussed in the above comments in this thread talking about ones purchased from online and not from Woolies?

Can the Good Food gift cards purchased from Woolies be used online for Doordash/Uber Eats/Menulog?

Can the Good Food gift cards purchased from Woolies be converted to a digital gift card somehow (e.g. The Restaurant gift card)?

I have not been able to find a way to do this on the Good Food website, and after searching through multiple Good Food gift card deals on OzBargain, it looks like no one else has been able to find a way either.

is digital Good Food gift cards discussed in the above comments in this thread talking about ones purchased from online and not from Woolies?

      I would say so.

Can the Good Food gift cards purchased from Woolies be used online for Doordash/Uber Eats/Menulog?

No, because the Good Food gift cards in this deal operate on the eftpos network.

      • Hey mate, I recently picked up two, $100 ultimate cards for cash at Woolies and promptly lost them (I think accidentally threw out)

I've still got the receipt. Do you know if they can be null voided and reissued?

        • No.

In my experience, Woolworths are extremely strict on when they issue refunds on purchases of gift cards, and they will likely remind you that the gift card’s terms and conditions tells you to treat it like cash:

          11. The Card is like cash and cannot be replaced if misused, lost, stolen, or damaged.

It is probably also a good thing that Woolworths cannot void an already issued gift card. A couple of scenarios to illustrate the reason it would be a bad idea for Woolworths to be able to do this:

          • If you dropped or left behind your receipt for the purchase of a gift card at the store, someone could then pick that receipt up, claim it was them (not you) who bought the gift cards and then have the purchased gift cards voided and reissued to them.

          • A rouge staff member could reprint your receipt, then go through the steps to have your gift card reissued to them. (If you think that is a wild suggestion, I was talking to a Coles service supervisor a while ago, and they told me a checkout operator at that store was fired, because they were found on a number of occasions to have deliberately switched an activated gift card with an un-activated gift card at the checkout, which meant they kept the activated gift card and spent it themselves.)

@WookieMonster: Fair enough, makes sense - I'll look really hard, possible it's still here (but not looking good!)

Sad but so be it, cheers, hope this helps others.
Don't be dumb with your stuff…

Help here, i have tried to register and comes up request failed with status code 400, i am sure I have put in the correct details but just mot working. so annoying!!!

    • Having the same issue. Been trying on and off since Friday night. Worse case, I'll have to use the physical cards in store at JB (would've preferred to just convert them to JB gift cards and used them online.

It looks like there's also two different links to register the card as well - the card.gift/register link which gives the 400 error when trying to register, and this link which is on the TCN page

      • Ended up giving up, and swiped 10 cards in-store.

Will avoid TCN ones and try to stick to the Ultimate ones next time (can convert them to JB cards on the JB website, as they're Visa cards and use more than one JB gift cards online instead)

  • I have an everyday rewards card on my phone wallet (Android) - I just need that?
Can I pay for the cards with cash?

    • Yes to both.

  • I have converted 3 $50 "Teen" cards to JB Hi-Fi but after 24 hours, only 2 JB vouchers have arrived in my email.
I have contacted customer service via email as their phone support is constantly busy.
Does anyone have any ideas why it would be so long? Or if its coming at all?
I just get an error message when I check the balance on all 3 cards now. I might have lost $50 :(

    • You have to phone them during the week and they will put you on hold and send them manually, say goodbye to 20-30 mins of your life

  • Just tried the goodfood cards at the local bowls club & no dice. Restaurant choice & the Pub & bar TCN cards have worked there in the past.

  • Didn't even know about this until I saw the promo at Strathfield, plenty of $30 Teens on the shelve (on Saturday evening). I didn't buy any, I guess 10% is not super tempting for most unless using them immediately.

  • omg… thanks something something I didn't miss this.

loaded 300 bucks to my nintendo account :)

  • Has anyone been able to combine multiple Teen $30/$50 cards for a single JB HiFi voucher?

I'm sure this was possible previously, but when I just it tried redeeming a JB HiFi card from the TCN website, it redeemed one Teen card and sent me the JB HiFi voucher via email. I couldn't see any option to add additional cards.

Is there a step i'm missing?
