Alright, so these Sennheiser Momentum 4 Special Edition headphones are like the Swiss Army knife of ear gadgets. First off, they're banging on about maximum audio resolution with Sennheiser signature sound – whatever that means. It's like saying they've got the crispiest crisps or something. I just want to hear me tunes without it sounding like I'm underwater, you know?

Now, they claim to be as comfy as a well-worn pair of socks, and they'll last longer than a stubborn cold. Comfort is good; I don't want my ears feeling like they've been through a wrestling match. And the battery life – they reckon it lasts longer than my attention span during a documentary about rocks. I'm all for not charging things every five minutes.

They've got these fancy digital beamforming microphones – sounds like something from a sci-fi movie, doesn't it? Supposedly, it makes my voice sound like I'm narrating a wildlife documentary. Not sure why I need that, but hey, it's there.

The design is lightweight, which is good because who wants to lug around earweights all day? And they go on about built-in EQ, presets, sound modes, and a Sound Personalization function. It's like they're handing me the keys to a sound spaceship. I just want to put them on and listen, not become a DJ with a PhD in audio engineering.

Oh, and apparently, you can customize the sound to your unique hearing needs. I didn't know my ears had unique needs. I thought they just wanted to hear stuff without any drama.

So, in a nutshell, if you want headphones that promise top-notch sound, feel like clouds on your ears, last longer than a tortoise race, and have more settings than a spaceship cockpit – these Sennheiser Momentum 4 Special Editions might be your cup of tea. Me? I just want to hear the music, not get a degree in headphoneology.

  • Sennheiser family sold Sennheiser consumer division, so, can’t assume anything about their products anymore.

  • +3

Can agree, super comfy, they sound great, they look and feel great. If you wear headphones 24/7 like me worthy investment.

  • I bought the black version last week. The sound quality is outstanding for $400 headphones.

  • +1

Based on reviews, there are others better… but at the end of the day, once you buy them and can't compare them and you're not an expert and have tried everything on the market, you won't be able to tell the difference anyway.

  • +1

I've them…. This pair trumps Sony / Bose.
Would highly recommend to aim for em

    • +1

Yeah, i always found sennheisers sound way better than equivalent sony / bose for me personally. Sticking to this brand for last 20 years or so

  • I prefer these over my xm4s
Im still yet to find an issue with the anc quality not being as good as the Sony's

    • from the YT reviews, the mic quality seems low compared to Sony xm5?

      • +1

The mics on Sony's are trash….I wouldn't trust any review that claims otherwise

      • I didnt buy these for the mic.
The odd call iv had its seemed ok
These are my dailys listening to music and do the job well

  • Nice intro. Someone's been very busy with their Chat AI

  • I had my eyes on these. What's putting me off is the fabric headband. Once dirty, you can't clean them properly. What were they thinking.

    • Is the top of the headband really going to get that dirty? The part that touches your head looks like it's the same PU leather they use for the ear cushions

      • I used to sell these in retail and from the demo it is not PU on the inner headband but rather a soft plastic, akin to the Bose 700, which wears much better than PU.

  • The design of the Momentum 3 seemed really secure, it's basically just a metal band. What's the construction of these like? Is there any stressed plastic that's going to fracture over time?

    • I just received mine, they look and feel well built

  • how do these compare comfort-wise with Bose qc ii's?

  • This has ended. Now $468.76
