  • Tempted to buy one of these simply because I don't have a diver but given I already own fourteen watches I'm not sure it'd ever get wrist time.

Better off buying a few watch straps from Ali

      • lol. i ended up buying 6 in total from heimdallr….how many did you order?

        • Already had ordered a few different ones, one from that store.

    AliExpress update on order…

    Clearing Customs
Failed to clear at import customs

    • ….uh oh. this is gonna be funny….

clearly customs do not know a finely executed horological homage when they see one!

      • I remember a member said on an old post that it seems to be a default message for delayed in customs but eventually gets cleared after a few days.

        • that or the customs guy wanted a new daily shitter

        • yes, never an issue just wait a day or two.. everyone is asking it every time now..
it's extra tracking info we never got before i reckon

ps. may be an issue if it's a fake labelled Rolex.

    • Have you received it now?

My RAlieX was delivered this morning. I have worn it for the last 8 hours and these are my thoughts, moans and niggles.

The rubber strap is junk (as expected) and felt very sweaty and oily to the skin after several minutes. I replaced it immediately with a 20mm AlieX strap I had spare, which ironically cost more than the watch by a few cents. The picture shows the replacement strap.

    Positives:
Very comfortable on the wrist (with replacement strap). Clarity is great. No date window or accompanied cyclops. Nice clicky bezel action (60 clicks). Bezel alignment better than Seiko (though my picture angle would suggest otherwise). Second hand hits the indicies perfectly. The red of the two tone bezel catches the light nicely. Pip glued in nicely. Crown has easy access. Great value for a beater watch.

    Moans and niggles:
Bezel insert is loose and will need to be taken out and re-glued in. Bezel has back play of 3 seconds 😳. Original strap is sweaty and very stiff for the first 10mm at the curved ends. Dial feels unbalanced with no branding text. Looks and feels cheap when held with an SD1953 (my closest watch to compare). Only has very feint lume on the hands. I tried to remove the case back to look at the movement and supporting plastic but couldn't pop it off after a few minutes. Case back says 3ATM but I highly doubt it but if washing your hands kills it then no major financial loss.

Executive summary: worth at least $12 so definitely a bargain.
