I managed to get the S24 for $714 on the Samsung Shop App instead of $786.00 through the Samsung website

Here is my S24 order

  • S24 Orange
  • Free Samsung Care: 1 year
  • Samsung S21 trade in $-270
  • Samsung bonus trade in credit $-350
  • Clear Case
  • Battery Pack
  • Galaxy Buds FE

Code used: GALAXYAI

Total Payable: $714.20

Pick up from my local Samsung store at checkout.

Few notes:
1 - Must have a Samsung account, create one here. Samsung accounts with no orders, I had my Samsung account for over 4+ years, never purchased anything on the app.
2 - At checkout if your suburb and state is not selectable, go back and check out again and enter your postcode once. There is a bug if you enter the postcode wrong then re-enter it, your state and suburb won't show and you won't be able to check out
3 - This is my experience, your experience may differ and I can not comment on any further codes or discounts, but this worked for me
4 - Must be done through the app
5 - Trade in customers - samsung will charge your card as a security deposit the same amount of the trade in price. In this case, samsung took $270 as a security deposit
6 - As from 18 January 1:12pm AEST, Samsung chat is closing all chat, I have waited over 2 hours, twice and Samsung chat is closing all chats, I don't know if there is a loyalty code to stack. If you can get through to chat and get a code, it may stack.

you can go on live chat to get CME coupon but i think wait time is crazy $200 off

    This mine

    found out something very unique
    Web store vs Mobile Store
    Price is different
    On my PC $1,525.80
    On my Mobile $1,409.51
    I will link images https://imgur.com/a/DhguMhb
i guess is save another $116 using the Samsung shop app

    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra with 1 X Free Samsung Care+, 1 year device program

    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra Shield Case

    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector

    1 X SmartTag2 – 4 Pack (2 x White and 2 x Black)

2 X Galaxy Buds FE (going to sell one)

    • I waited over 2 hours now… I opened the chat twice and when I was within queue of 10 customers, they closed it on me automatically and wanted me to re-start the chat. I couldn't be bothered anymore lol.

    • +1

APP will get extra 5% off and I don't know how much it based

      • On my PC $1,525.80
        On my Mobile $1,409.51

        it 5% off first order

      what's CME stand for?

      • +2

IDK but that what Live chat support give you CME Number Letter code

      • Customer Mass Exodus

    • what coupons dix you add/ what did you have to trade in

    • +1

the CME code only works for S24 ultra.

    • I feel dumb for asking but what do you say to live chat to get them to provide you a CME?

      • Hi i want a trade in code for s24U for education store

        • What's the RRP discount via the edu store without coupons?

    • Nice thanks certainly better then paying full price 👍

I guess the Ultra would be the 512gb version or maybe 256gb?

Edit: but any deals with JB-HiFi/Telstra sim plans?

  • My Samsung education App is only showing TV, fridges. No phones

    • IOS shop? I found the same issue with my iphone but no issue with my S23U app

  • Yeah it IOS app

    • Seems like samsung doesn't like IOS user and no opportunity for those who use iPhone to enjoy discount. Loyalty is too important for Samsung.

      • There is an IOS app though?

      • Other way round. Apple doesn't allow Samsung to give Apple users a pathway to bail on Apple phones

  • I've never tried a trade in before. I don't currently have a device on their list . I have the older metal classic smart watch ???

Does the trade in device have to be in excellent condition? Is it worth finding a used device cheaply just to do a trade in ? Is it worth all the hassle? LoL

    • -2

I'm not sure how much bonus you would get, but you can trade in 2$ Kmart earbuds. The trade in value will be 1$. I've done it before to get a trade in bonus on an S23 Ultra deal last year. I believe you need to use the Samsung TradeUp app on Android to be able to do earbuds.

      • Really ? I thought it had to be something like a relatively new iPhone , iPad, Oppo phone or Samsung device…. Am I misinterpreting the rules ?

        • I'm not sure of the specifics of this deal, so you may be right. But if you just need anything to trade in, you can do earbuds. It's worked for me to get a trade in bonus in the past.

      • Is the trade up app independent of the Samsung Shop app that does trade ins ? I've found a "Trade in for Samsung stores" by Asurion on android but looks iffy ?? LoL

      • +7

That headphone trade in option has been stopped.
Samsung dont promote the trade in app anymore. You do it through their own website or samsung shop app. I believe the trade in app does still work though but the headphone option is gone so there is not point using it.

  • You can use this a second time by simply making a new account on a different email address. They don't seem to check if your name and address or bank card have gotten this discount before. At least ~2 months ago when I last used it.

    • How about linking the new account to the Education store again?

  • +1

Telco's getting 40% off RRP for the S24 range

    • the cost to make probably $700, sold for $2500
yeah im too poor to afford that mark up

    • I don't buy into the whole huge discount schemes, if they are so generous, it makes you wonder about the mark ups.

If a Telco is offering 40% off RRP, does it include accessories, Samsung care, trade in? etc….

I think with these kind of phones, the customer needs to research and hopefully find the best outlet for them to buy the phone at the cheapest and most value on what they're getting.

In my case, I don't have an EDU account, I can't be bothered re-selling accessories (or maybe I will for the buds) and I can't be bothered dealing with GCs, thus the best option for me was through the Samsung shop app for a further 5%. I was about to bite through the Samsung website when I remembered Samsung may have exclusive shop app discounts.

      • says "receive a $100 bonus credit when you trade-in an eligible device" on the offer.. but don't get any preorder gift or anything like that
Price would start at $839.40 for the S24 8/256 to $1679 for the S24 Ultra 12/1TB

      • Telco staff has do a short course to get the discount code (and usually limited spots).

It's usually to 'learn' the features of the phone so they can recommend/sell them to customers.

It's also 40% off the RRP from the standard store (and I believe can't be stacked with any other offers).

    • Yeah but the deal above is way better than the Telco staff discount. Not only is the overall price cheaper by around $30 the deal comes with around $400rrp in genuine accessories.

How to access Samsung government discount via app? I have iOS app, first time use it from today, but I couldn’t find mobile phone on the app. I can access government store via website and see 20% discounts for s24

    • Judging from the comments, don't think Samsung likes iOS and nulls any discounts or showing phones.

Don't think you can access government discounts via the samsung shop app, you prob need to go through the official government portal.

      • I'd tried Android app and government store does not appear only education.

        • Had the same problem. Couldn't get my Government store to show through the app. Ending up just ordering online through the browser and forfeiting my 5% (and OB membership!)

  • +1

Depending on when the Samsung shop app calculates the 5% discount, the shop app works out cheaper than the Edu/Gov portal for the S24+ (unless you go the 256gb model).

    S24+ 512gb (Samsung App)
    $1699
    - 5% discount
    - $350 trade bonus
= $1264.05 (or $1281.55 if 5% discount is calculated AFTER trade bonus)

    S24+ 512gb (Edu/Gov portal)
    $1519.20
    - $250 trade bonus
    = $1269.20

Potentially another $50.77 cashback if that works with the Edu/Gov portal (assuming it doesn't).

    • I believe you can log into the education portal via the Samsung Shop App to get EDU Prices.

    • How did u get extra 5% off on epp portal ?

  • How do you access Samsung EDU on the Shop App?

    • +1

It's an option under "My Page" - just need to click where it says your name/"Samsung Online Store"

      • Thanks

    • This - it auto logs into my phone account. Can't see button to log into an alternative edu account

      • Sign out of Samsung on the Phone, it'll let you log into your EDU account afterwards

        • What if i dont have .edu email. Is there any hack to get the additional 20% off pls?

          • @ozzyoi: ?? Any help pls

            • +1

@ozzyoi: Unfortunately, no, best to find someone you know with an email.

Because to sign in you need to verify a number.

              • @MinkZ: Thx. Is this valid for .gov email addreses too?

  • When I go to change to the EDU store on the app, it asks to verify my email address, but when I enter it, it says "this email is linked to another Samsung Account (has edu email here), please provide an alternative email", but when I log out of the app, it automatically logs back in.
I'm thinking it's auto logging into my gmail account that I've got my phone set up with… has anyone experienced this and know a work around?

    • Try go to the app settings and clear/delete the data and cache. This should remove all the pre-data already on the app.

    • go to your phone settings and at the very top sign out of your samsung account

    • The Samsung Store App doesn't allow multiple user accounts. To use your EDU (Educational) details, you have to sign out of your main Google account on your Samsung phone and sign back in with your EDU details. Unfortunately, the Store App automatically fills in the login with the phone's user ID, making it impossible to use different accounts - clearing data and cache don't work.

  • managed to get a S24 Ultra for $974 with all the extras.

    • Damn! That seems really good!?

What is your order list to show other people if you don't mind?

      • +1

I used education store discount, traded in a pixel 7 pro for $350 plus then 250 trade in credit, then a mate had a spare code for an extra $200 trade in credit.
Also got a clear case, 45W power adapter, Wireless Power Charger and a screen protector, with 1 year free of samsung care.

        • +4

Boasting of lower amounts by trading in more expensive devices is useless. Remove your device trade in value and boast a lower amount.

          • @rdhupar: Right? Lol so annoying, another person commented how he got low price on to reveal later he traded in an iphone 14 pro max…..

        • Looks like you missed out on some free accessories. You should have got $350 worth of accessories for free.

        • how do we get that extra $200 trade in credit?

          • @JohnyEnglish: That offer has expired now. It was valid untill 6th feb. It was via a banner on the samsung members app.

  • Did the exact same thing same OP except accessories were silicone case & vegan leather - totalled $554 if you dont care about the accessories

  • My shop app only lets me change to Edu store, how can you change to EPP store?

    • Keen to understand this too

    • I've chatted with Samsung support, only the regular and education stores are available in the app. EPP store can only be accessed from the web/computer.

      • damn thats kinda shitty of them :/ thanks for letting me know though!

  • Could anyone please tell me why Samsung is saying my phone’s IMEI is invalid when I am putting it for trade in. I got an unlocked iPhone.

    • iPhone is too old or has been traded before and not sent it for the trade in. Gets blacklisted.

  • hi op, thanks for this. how do you select local store for pick up please?

  • +2

    I bought an S24 Ultra 256GB
With free Samsung Care+, 1 year device program
    With the following accessories:
    - Galaxy Buds FE (two pairs)
    - Super Fast Wireless Charger Duo
    - Galaxy S24 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector
    - Galaxy S24 Ultra Silicone Case

    With the following discounts:
    - Edu store gives 20% discount
    - First purchase in app gave another 5% discount.
    - I used GALAXYAI code for accessories ($350 total free accessories)
    - I did trade-in of old Galaxy S8 ($10 value + $250 bonus discount)
    - I used CME code provided by live chat for (extra $200 off with trade-in)

    Final price $1199.56
    ($1209.56 excluding trade value)
Still deciding if I should send the S8 (great condition) or just cop the fee and sell separately.

    • I assumed you lost the bonus if you don't send in the device?

  • Hi, can ecm code be used in edu store?

And also what does ECM stand for lol

    • +1

CME code can be used in edu store.
But codes are unique, starting with letters CME.
You need to request on live chat or phone, but difficult to get through at this point it seems.
No idea what it stands for.

  • Guys, how do you ask for CME code? I tried asking for a loyalty discount etc, The chat says someone would call me for the order and only they can offer one.

    Yelp!!

    • +1

I said im tempted to buy can i have a cme voucher :)

  • damn, guess i am too slow. all the accessories are out of stock :(

    • chat agent claims they are trying to replenish stock, but zero faith in the quality of information they get given.

      • It's not like they have to physically replenish it either. I would 100% take a back order of stuff I actually want.

  • I'm looking to purchase the phone for someone.
I've been trying to get the 5% discount to work but having issues.
After logging into the account on the EPP and adding the items to the cart when I then log into the account on the Samsung shop app on my phone and checking the cart the cart is empty.
After messaging the chat they're saying the 5% is only available on the Samsung or edu shop but not the EPP. Can anyone confirm this or if I'm stuffing the process up? Thanks

    • +1

As far as I know EPP doesn't work with the app. So if you only have EPP access and not EDU access you'll have to forego the extra 5% off

    • +1

From previous comments, there is no EPP via app. Carts from website and app are separate for me even when using the same non EPP/EDU account so i can have different products in carts for website and app using same account.

      • Oh really I must have misread it then. How come the title of this post make mention of EPP then? Bit confused.

        • +1

OP might have assumed EPP was available on app without testing or checking because they want to get the post out before anyone else. The $200 trade in bonus post also didnt bother to mention it was for Ultra only.

          • @8azinga: Guess there's a lot going on lol. Thanks for confirming.

  • Anyone with edu email and not buying the samsung s24 ultra able to help a bro out? :)

  • What’s the cheapest way to cope a s24 ultra? Samsung edu or the jbhifi? Samsung is only giving me 850$ for my 14 pro max 256gb but jbhifi is offering 1050$. Or should i go for the market place route? Cuz it’s gonna take some to sell my phone and by then the preorder bonuses will be over.

    • +1

Most likely the trade in through samsung.

Get 5% off first purchase on the shop app, trade in + bonus samsung trade in + 1 year samsung care free + 350 worth of accessories for free. Your total should be around the $1000 range or less.

For a quick quote I did (not through the shop app), I got $978.01 and if you ask chat for a CME code, that's another further $200 off, so your price will be around $778.01 and it will be further discounted by 5% through the shop app. I assume around $700 will be your phone price

    • +1

Depends what accesorries etc you and if you have the CME code.
      Using 512GB as example
Samsung EDU is 20% off the RRP phone price = $1919.20 for 512GB
      $250 bonus trade in.
      $850 iphone trade in
$300 worth of accesories for free using the $150 voucher during purchase and $200 galaxyai code but will add a little to cost as you can get exacrly $350 of accessories.
Additional $200 bonus trade in if you have a CME code
1 year free samsung care but i have never needed it so i wpuldnt fsctor that in to any costs.
Total = $819.20 including $350 worth accessories for free and 1 yr samsung care.
Extra 5% off using the app.
Take another $200 off if you have code.

JB Hifi will be free double storage upgrade so
      512GB $2199
      $300 gift card
      $350 bonus trade in
      $1050 iphone trade in
Total = $799 + $300 jb gift card that comes later.

Not huge difference if you dont have the CME code and if you have things you'd rather buy from JB, that could be an option even though you dont get as much uofront value. To get to the $350 accessory spend on samsung, i had to add things i didnt want anyway so its not really $350 worth.

  • Anyone have any issue with asurion website where it show blank after sign in? I tried with three different browser and computer. All same result.

  • Is this the best price possible at the moment (considering GALAXYAI is $100 instead of $200)?

    S24U 256
    Around $1200 with,
    $1 trade-in
    GALAXYAI
    Ecosystem
    $250 bonus

Not sure if 5% off your first purchase worked with the app.

    Extra $150 for 512.

    Thanks!

    • Assuming you have an EDU account, i think you'll still need the CME code for additional $200 trade in bonus and 5% app discount to get it to around $1200.

The GALAXYAI change from $200 to $100 doesnt really affect the price. You just get less free accessories.

  • Anyone else having trouble with their trade in ID code being invalid?

    • If you used the trade-in app, the code is only valid for instore use.

Just accept the trade in online or in the shop app and it has its own inbuilt trade in process without a code.

  • Just ordered on EPP app:

    S24U 512 ( = $1,143 in cart)
    2 Buds FE
    1 Standing Grip Case

    5% off
    $250 galaxyai code
    $200 chat code
    $1 trade in
    $250 bonus tradein

    Total: $1,370.

Expect +$30 for non-return the trade in device?

Tried different addons and found that if they make up $250~$270 in total, the total price is the best.

I don't need the accessories. Should I cancel them to get $210 refund?

Anyone with successful partial cancelation pls help confirm.

    • +1

I cancelled my buds @ 133.00 and the rest of my items are still valid and ready to ship on launch day, 29th.

But no one right now knows about the refund process as Samsung online state it can take up to 21 days if someone cancelled their order or part of their order.

  • Can anyone confirm if the accessories cancellation actually worked guys? Thanks

    • No one can tell you until one of us got an automated refund first and the website state to to 21 days for a refund.

Wouldn't be surprised if longer as Samsung loves to take their time
