HEYMIX Travel GaN Charger, 65W USB C Wall Charger, 60W/45W/30W/25W/20W USBC Fast Travel Charger with EU/US/UK/AU Adapter Compatible with MacBook, MacAir, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Pixel, Samsung, iPhone, iPad

My first foray into GaN chargers, I just found and bought it whilst searching for a travel charger for my Nintendo Switch, apparently does laptops, phones etc. Had to dig through the review pictures to confirm what outputs it had, and 15V 3A was one of them.

At $37.49 it looks like a good deal compared to other GaN chargers out there? Mostly decent reviews, some failed unit reviews but seller replaces for free.

    Booom! Here we go again.

Anyway this particular model by heymix has a very large failure rate for the adapter plugs.

Nah was hoping to burn some spiders with it

      The Zyron is better quality?

    • Gotta pump up that wattage on your fire starters.

Does that show ~$31 + GST for anyone else or is it a targeted deal.

Closer equivalent/alternative would be the 67W Powerpod since it has the travel plugs like the heymix

currently checks out to be $45 with free shipping on their website, not bad especially if proven to be better than the Heymix ones according to everyone here.

        • I ended up grabbing the 100W 4 x USB-C version for $75 from Amazon. Bit more expensive but nice to have the extra power for quickly charging multiple devices when travelling.

    Lightning Deal!!

  • For those with newer Samsung devices that can charge at 45w, this doesnt seem to state it supports Super Fast Charging 2.0.
Zyron one listed above in comments does state it supports it.

Ignoring the risks listed above, 2 (of 3) Heymix chargers had USB-A ports stop working over time. The 3rd has continued to work fine.

I used to be a proponent of Heymix but my board shat itself after 6 months. Used to use it religiously for 65W charging and reluctantly had to buy a 33W Jackson board but at least it should work safely and reliably for years.

If you value your life and property, don't buy Heymix

  • oh crap, I probably should've searched Ozbargain a bit harder before i bought this one and posted this, didnt realise Heymix attracted so much hate…. If it fails in the next few months ill leave a review on Amazon and probably never go Heymix again.

  • Buy this for travel so at least you're not gonna set your house on fire… but you probably end up in jail anw.

This damaged the motherboard of my brand new lenovo laptop. I was travelling and brought this, what a mistake.

    .

    • Shouldn’t ppl be getting a good quality one like a Belkin gan so they don’t go through what you went through?
