I love the day ware fluid. Non greasy, light on the face. Just as good as the fancy sunscreens that at 50 bucks for 50 mls

The Cancer Council Face Day Wear Moisturiser Invisible Matte is the best facial sunscreen. Lightweight, non-greasy and feels like just like a regular moisturiser (pink is regular, blue is water resistant). You won't even know you're wearing sunscreen.

Much better than La Roche Posay sunscreen in my opinion.

I also use the Day Wear Fluid but that feels a tad 'silky' so I use it as an SPF primer under makeup.

    • Yes, the Face Day Wear Moisturiser Invisible Matte is excellent. At this sales price, IMHO it's the standard setter for facial sunscreen value - premium feel and performance. There are a number of reviews on Youtube about the Cancer Council range which you can check out.

La Roche Posay is only worth getting on sale. I've tried the Anthelios Invisible Fluid and while it feels better and lighter on your face, you get so little for your money compared to CC Face Day Wear.

  • Which one to get? So many different sunscreens!

Face Day Wear Moisturiser Water Resistant SPF50+ 150ml matte finish is very good for face $10.50. got the last one at Coles on the weekend (it's also fine for arms and body, but I prefer just a normal sunscreen without moisturiser for body as these spread a little easier). Suprisingly good and won't be looking for traditional 'premium' brands for face anymore.

  • Is it real council backed by Gov or just brand name? Been asking this to myself for a few times. Google says it's a charity.

    • +2

anyone can use a council name (eg climate council is an umbrella term for an activist agenda - it's marketing really to make it sound more legit). you could create a startup called council of one. In cancer council's case it appears to be a charity that supports research, patient support and education programs (eg via donations, tax exempt charity status and product sales).

Have these guys improved or do they still burn people?

    • Do you mean skin irritation? The Aldi 1L Ultra doesn't burn my face, unlike the Woolworths 1L everyday.

You can try the Aldi tubes of sunscreen. They are extra waxy and I very much doubt it would burn anyone, not even a baby's bottom.

  • Appears to be out of stock at coles but default view shows add to cart so can price match at chemist warehouse teehee
