I have the next size up and it's great. Longer curved handle sets it apart from Lodge, otherwise functionally identical. Made in Colombia.

I was surprised by this price, sold and shipped by Amazon AU, no mention of a discount while the RRP is listed as 75 elsewhere reduced to 60.

(The 26cm is currently $49.74 on Amazon)

  • Would this be good for steak in a 14" gas pizza oven?

    • Dimensions are in the photos. Less than 14" in length so should be sweet.

    • Won't fit many steaks in this, will have to be thicker, narrower cuts like a scotch fillet.

    • +1

Not really, way too small for most steaks. The top/opening is 8 inches but the walls taper down to the base where its probably only 5½ or 6. You'd maybe get away with one small scotch fillet if you were desperate.

10" is probably what you want, you can just get two solid porterhouses in.

  • Cheap door stop

  • Seems to be already gone. Am i wrong?

  • I use one of these for smash burgers for 1.
Cat iron maintenance isn't for everyone though, it's a lot of effort

    • Personally I don’t put much effort into it.
Don’t wash with detergent, just scrub it with a plastic scourer.
Try not to cook too much acidic (tomatos, tomato base foods) which strip the oils.
I have a Lodge and a Victora, they don’t look amazing, but still quite non-stick and easy maintenance for me.

If you need a bigger one Kmart sell a good 29 cm one in their camping section.
    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/29cm-cast-iron-frypan-43037…
The used to sell a 23-24 cm one which is good i have a couple. Just ordered click and collect for the 29cm one. Can do two steaks or three burgers (4 in a pinch) in the 23cm. A 20cm is really for single serve cooking.

    • This kmart one looks good. can this be used on bbq as well with hood down…handle is cast iron as well so no issue there.
