RRP is closer to 180 than 300.

An air fryer is worth the price for crispy chilli tofu at home.

    • Can you share a recipe that you like? ta

      • +3

        Quickest way is just gochujang.

        Otherwise i go with

        Soy sauce
        Oyster sauce
        Garlic and ginger
        Chilli powder
        Paprika ( just for colour)
        Seasame oil.

        Splash of each.

        • Just slice tofu, cover in that and air fry?

          • +4

            @theguyrules: U got it!

          • @theguyrules: You can also try tearing the tofu with your hands, you get lots of craggly bits that add surface area for crisping

    • Any recipes recommendations? 😀

Do the black ass stank ones

  • Is it better than Philips? My Philips is still working but the knob fell out T_T

    • Should be similar, Phillips is more superior as they been in the game longer

Date First Available: 6 September 2021

  • Was looking at this one, and the Russel Hobbs one. Any thoughts?

Had a Phillips for years, but it packed it in a few weeks back.

    • We have a russel hobbs, its ok, but our non stick tray had the coating deteriorate after a few weeks of hand cleaning as per the manual.

Kmart ones seem to do the job just fine

Any quality ones that are ceramic coated or glass? Not a fan of Teflon but most don't seem to advertise what they're coated with. Except for Ninja who boast about ceramic coating. I'm just trying to find others to compare..

    • "Ceramic" is just another nonstick formulation. It's not real ceramic

XXL seems misleading….based on the listing photos this thing doesn’t look much bigger than my standard size Philips

    • +1

its not the size, its how you use it

      • +3

it's not small, just come in closer, you'll see

  • Lots of reviews online saying the non-stick peels off really quick :(

    • Thats what happens with all of them. Depending on how often you use it, the coating will wear off. Some last longer than others though. I got a cheap one that lasted for about 3 months before it was wearing off

    • Yep I have this exact model and the non-stick came off the removable tray and rust formed after a couple of months. We cleaned it in the dishwasher (the manual says its dishwasher safe) so handwashing would likely prevent this.

      Otherwise, it's a good unit.

      • +1

Yeah the reviews say gentle handwashing still did it so it just seems to be a failure point

  • Just picked up the Ninja XXXL Flexi drawer for $340 from Good Guys - RRP $599

    • is it truly xxxl? what can you fit in it? when you want to use just one side does the other side still get pretty hot?

      • Cooked 1.6kg chook roast with veges. Fit easily with plenty of space left..

    • +1

That’s a great price - Still advertised at $599 online from TGG. How did you get it down to $340?

  • That is one Big Blunt Bullet

  • You can price beat with TGG at $139.
