Caveat emptor, last time I tried this booking.com just jacked prices by 10%.

    • Yup me too

    • Yep me 3, while my partner who created a new account was able to get cheaper prices compared to my account which is supposed to be a "genius level 3". And now because I used CB once, my prices are locked higher lol what a scam

      • Yup me 4

Me too! I actually monitored pricing via multiple booking sites, booking direct, and going through Cash rewards.
          They jacked the prices substantially.
You may as well not ever bother booking thru CR, as you're paying to get the cashback.
And then have to wait 3 months to get credited. Dodge!

I've said it before and I'll say it again..
Research prices and record them. Use TripAdvisor or Trivago to compare. Add them to a 'wishlist' before logging in via CashRewards.
I have booked about 2 dozen hotels with Booking via CR or SB and never encountered a higher price

Same. I always compare and it's no dearer. Sometimes there are app-only specials which prevent from using CR but again easy to compare.

  • Agoda pricing for any hotel in Sydney CBD is still way cheaper. Do shop around.

    • Agoda nd Booking.com are the same company. Usually one will offer a cheaper rate in a city to gain quick share and then switch back to the other. Ex employee speaking here. So yes shop all of them.

  • Abit misleading. The prices through the cashback link is more expensive (after cashback) compared with booking.com via Google.

  • i got stung a massive INTERNATION TRANSACTION FEE! for booking a whitsunday accom!
NEVER AGAIN!. sorry caps but they don't give a S#iT and handball to host who says its booking.com fees being registered in netherlands!
Plenty on google about this. just a warning.

  • Dumb question here - if you click through Cashrewards and reserve a room but don't pay for it straight away do you get the cashback when you do the transaction in the future? (I have some dates in mind, but waiting on confirmation from my work before I'll put $ down).
