FYI - These have a resin case & lens. Only the bracelet is stainless steel.

        (Was $109)

Nah I've never seen it at that crazy price.

        • They are fine though. Reasonable price, paid 27 last quarter, don't think any of these are coming back down again.

They are not large enough for a typical man's wrist.

    • +10

It's a catch-22. If you wear this, you won't get any, so your wrist will become thicker from overuse, which means you won't be able to wear this.

      • +1

Maybe I should get one then because I'm getting tired of all the women approaching me when I wear my Steeldive SD1970.

But on a serious note these are 33.2mm wide so they are definitely on the small side. Casio Website.

I bet you wear a real man’s watch, like this

    • I agree.

      Plenty of adjustment.
Feels like you aren't even wearing a watch, nice light and slim. No one is passing it off as a macho watch but most watch collectors will have one as the are a nice retro throwback with heaps of nostalgia.

  • isn't this the same but slightly different buckle at $16.99? or are they fakes?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/195798485632

    • 100% fake

      • Good to know… Was it the screws that gave it away?

        • The price

          • @onlinepred: Fake it till you make it. Not everyone can afford the real thing.

            • @shoppe: True! Could prob get away with drawing the watch on your wrist too

The MSRP on this watch seems very inflated, I swear it's been at this price multiple times before.

    • Always $109 but typically can be had for $60 or less.

  • I got the beater version of this (rubber) and it came in a flat plastic wrap. It did have tags but not even in a plastic box. I'm sure they used to come in a box…

It just fit. If you have medium to large wrists there's no chance these will fit on you and the watch face is tiny. I'm pretty sure they were meant for kids.

    Sadly returned.

  • this watch should become the new currency

it will be, we just need to enter our post-apocalyptic era

      • Yeah wish I kept the two black AE1200, sold both for about $30 can't even get them now less than $50.

May keep an eye on Amazon US, hard to get free delivery anymore and the exchange is a bit ordinary (thought it was free shipping over $45 or something for international).

        • Why did you sell both if you liked it?

          • @onlinepred: Dunno but bit childish/cheap or couldn't imagine wearing it often. Should have kept and sold for profit.. I mean I like them but got plenty of better ones to wear.

            • @G-rig: Could have kept and sold for a profit? I mean if you had the ability to go back in time, would be better to buy property, not watches to make a few dollars…
Also nothing childish about the ae1200, it's just a cheap digital watch.

              • @onlinepred: Of course, can apply that to everything, Bitcoins lol.

Yeah they are fine but not goin' to spend more than that getting another one. You may have noticed all the watch enthusiasts hype them up and a lot of other stuff.

There is always an answer on here, ha.

  • This is unsold stock from 1978.
