    50% off first month 100/20Mbps for $42.50

More telecom is free for the first three months, then 15% off ongoing…

    • only if you're with combank

      • I dont get any Commbank deals anymore. Closed my credit card, only have a "Smart Access" account.

        • only have a "Smart Access" account.

That's enough to get the More Telecom deal.

          • @jv: I got that one and used it couple of months back, but since January, the offers section has been empty.

Want to try out the Amber deal but have no coupon code because no offers.

Have completed 30 outbound transactions (its either 5 for 120$ credit or 30 for 150$ on the everyday account, hoping it will show up in Feb)

            • @kehuehue:

the offers section has been empty.

              It's not an offer.

You just join More Telecom under the CBA pricing option and provide a CBA debit/credit card for payment.

          • @jv: You can get up to 35% off for 12 months if you use CommBank Yello also, with More Telecom.

I am about to once my 3 months free runs out.

            • @nismoau:

              if you use CommBank Yello

CommBank removed my access to Yello, even though I spend a fortune using their credit cards.

              • @jv: Ah okay? That's rough. Banished you to the shadow realm. Hopefully it works for me next month.

    • Do you know if you can get it as a previous More customer? My tangerine 6 month deal just ended :(

is jumping from one provider to another every 6 months worth the hassle? I'm asking bec I'm tempted to do this

        • +2

With churn it's actually fairly hassle free.

          • -1

@Bdawg: what do you mean by churn? can you provide specific info?

            • +2

@Brakus: My limited understanding is the swap over now, called churn, is really fast and simple and handled between the providers. New one takes over and old one gets the can automatically. Last time I did it I was without internet for perhaps a 30min crossover window. The time before that about an hour.

              • @Bdawg: thanks, really helpful. can you specify weekends for swap over dates?

                • +1

@Brakus: I think that depends on the incoming ISP. I think some will do weekends. Some ISPs will just say your service will be up and running in X to Y days time, others will let you specify a day. So if your current ISP doesn't offer pro rata refunds on unused days of the month that's a pain in the ass - you just have to try time it a few days before the next billing cycle. If you manually cancel your current ISP before the new one takes over I think it can delay the process for a few weeks, leaving you without internet!

So in short, it is a hassle, is it worth the saving… maybe. Once every 6 months I can handle.

          • +1

@Bdawg: Does anyone have experience with how does the churn work when it involves the free tier upgrade? (FTTC to FTTP free upgrade from NBN when moving to another ISP on 250mb+ plan)

          • @Bdawg: Don’t use Exetel
30 Days notice required so you have to remember (which I did) when changing
Dodo changed immediately and they both wanted to charge me so no savings that month!
Most others it’s just a switch

I got it as a previous More customer but I signed up with diff email/mobile number. Everything else same details

        • +1

          Awesome. Same CBA card?

        • Did you jump.

          More > More
          or
More > another ISP > More

          Hope that makes sense.

          • @mrderrickc: More > Other ISP > More

I was away from More for at least 3 months, unsure if that altered things at all

      • I'm a previous More customer. Signed up on their 3 month free deal worked for me. I'm also onto my second free 3 month sim deal too.

    • Yes
One must focus on the "REAL" price
Not the publicity stunts these people pull to get you in.
I wonder how many read the fine print that the special price for a limited time.

    horrible provider, not even cheap

  • $85 Per Month is not a deal

    • +2

it is a bad deal but this was posted purely for people needing to churn out of one provider to another to maintain their cheap rate not regarding dodo specifically

  • Can i use my current optus wifi modem to use?
Do i need to get a new one?
What features do i need for a new modem?
    Thanks

    • If you know how to add PPoE account details into your existing modem, then it'll work fine.

      • This with a left behind Telstra modem

(Apart from one time they said no PPoE details can’t remember whom it will connect automatically, it did with a really old modem)

      • Thanks, no idea PPoE means at all. :(

Just saw they changed the deal to make it first month free. Last week it was actually second month free, but also had signs saying first month free. Very strange.
I was with Dodo for a few months about 18 months ago. They were fine, no real issues. 100mbps plan, speeds were decent and didnt have much slow down in the evenings. Churned over within 5 minutes. Occasional micro dropouts but no big ones. Not the best but definitely not the worst. Ive been with around 10 ISPs over the last few years I'd put them in the middle.

  • Don't go for Dodo as your last choice; they're the worst. No internet for over 24 hours after signing up. Dodo customer service is terrible. They keep transferring you between teams, and after an hour on hold, they say it's scheduled for tonight, taking 24-48hrs to activate. I told them to cancel right away. These guys are a joke.
Signed up for launtel and got connected in 15minutes
