How do I sign up and redeem offers?

In the Westpac App
Before trying these instructions make sure you’ve registered for Online Banking+, have the latest version of the app, and have opted into Westpac partner offers (refer to FAQs if you’re unable to log in).

Search ShopBack in the Smart Search bar on your home screen, explore available offers and select the offer you want to redeem
To redeem, log in or sign up to ShopBack (if you haven’t already)
Add your eligible Westpac debit or credit card to access Bonus Cashback offers
Shop using your linked Westpac debit or credit card.^

The $30 Cashback offer is available from 25th January 2024 to 14th April 2024 when you sign up to ShopBack as a new customer, following this link or using the promocode WESTPAC. This Cashback is capped at $30 per Westpac cardholder. Add your eligible Westpac debit or credit card and spend $20 or more with ShopBack within the offer period.

To receive Westpac Bonus Cashback, you must add an eligible Westpac debit or credit card to your ShopBack account, make an eligible purchase on the same Westpac debit or credit card and meet the offer criteria. The eligible Westpac debit and credit card must stay linked to your ShopBack account until Westpac Bonus Cashback is confirmed by ShopBack. Otherwise, Bonus Cashback may be rejected. Westpac business debit cards and Westpac business credit cards are currently not eligible for Westpac Bonus Cashback offers.

Purchases made using digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay will be eligible for Westpac Bonus Cashback as long as an eligible card is used as the linked payment method at the merchant’s checkout. Apple gift card purchases may take up to 14 days to be tracked. Purchases made using an online payment method such as PayPal, where ShopBack is unable to identify whether an eligible card was used at the checkout (including any purchases made on ShopBack), will not qualify for Westpac Bonus Cashback (even where an eligible card is linked e.g. to the PayPal account).

Qualifying requirements for referee: 1. Made a minimum $20 online purchase (below exclusions apply), 2. Received a minimum $10 confirmed cashback online, 3. Added banking details to account.

Users will need to fulfil the referral criteria within 180 days from referee's sign-up date to unlock cashback.

    What is eligible Westpac card ? Is debit card ok or does it have to be a credit card? I don’t have a ShopBack account so thinking of getting one and this might be a good time to get it
