Unknown Courier: Kinisi Transport Pty Ltd

In short, I'm having ongoing issues with Kinisi Transport Pty Ltd after buying furniture on eBay. The delivery has been out for delivery since last Monday, and despite trying to contact customer service by phone and email, I haven't gotten any responses.

I've been trying to ask them about picking up the package at their depot. Working from home, my boss is getting frustrated because of the long wait for the delivery.

I'm having trouble finding contact information for managers or escalations at Kinisi Transport Pty Ltd online. The only details I have are their location in Pakenham VIC 3910 and information about their ACN (670 025 368) and ABN (16 670 025 3680). According to LinkedIn, their co-founder is Glyn Wright, who used to work at Toll, which might explain their service level: https://www.linkedin.com/in/glyn-wright-53293053/

Has anyone else had problems with this courier?

Update 1/03/2024: It was finally delivered at 7pm Tuesday 29/02/2024. Must be due to a leap year extra day for them to deliver.

ABN only active since July 2023…

Have you asked the seller why on earth they chose that company? Maybe the eBay seller is part of the issue, or possible scam…?

      ebay seller

Prob because it was the cheapest rates by a fair margin if the transport and logistics shenanigans I’ve experienced are anything to go by.

We use a courier for non urgent deliveries, who onforwards through an agent for anything out of metro Bris… but that agent further subs out the work, the result is 30% cheaper rate over next brand name courier, but basically 0 responsibility taken by any courier in the chain.

      • But the question is how the seller found the courier, they don't have much of an online presence

          Ah true

The marketing and logistics game is a pretty hard game, wouldn’t be surprised if new mobs like this have teams that spend time combing through eBay listings for bulky items, and people who cold call through industrial areas (we get cold called a lot but mainly for freight forwarders and local freight options

          Edit
I just googled , looks like they are an option via after ship. So they prob came up as the cheapest when they submitted quote request for freight.

    • Good question, I've inquired, but the seller hasn't provided details about their choice of courier or preference. I would have preferred to buy this in person, but I couldn't find any local shops that offered this particular design: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/234540644466

In the third image, it says "metriculous craftsmanship" and "attention to detail".

        Metriculous?

True, looks like this seller offers it everywhere (ebay, Amazon, every other marketplace!)

Not sure if the same as your ebay seller though

        • I noticed that. Big W and Bunnings have it as their Marketplace Exclusive as well. Most likely delivered by the same courier.

Hahaha, can't help but laugh at them at this stage.

I'd tell the seller it hasn't shown up, you want a refund and let them sort it out.

Also why not just go to work? Worst that happens is they drop it off outside or take it back to their depot and tell you to pick it up (which is what you want).

I work for VicGov, they are anal about personal deliveries, and it's 28kg's so definitely a no-go.

Just like any government. Personal delivery at work? That's treading that very fine line between a taxable fringe benefit and the non-cream Arnott's biscuits and tea and coffee bags for local dignitary visitors. The manager has to buy the milk himself, then spits in it after the dignitaries leave to mark his territory. Not that I have any experience in the public service to base that on…
