I received the well-packed PC today. The Windows 10 activation is mission impossible. The Windows 10 IOT Enterprise version from Dell can not be ran on any of my PC. The MS version is the same as the Enterprise 90-day trial version, which asks for a product key. The latest USB installed Windows 10 Pro also the same. Unlike sputnik mentioned in the earlier comment, there is no "associated desktop Windows 10" in my Troubleshot window.
Wish OP could come out with some solution.

    • Thanks for the OP to sort it out quickly.

      • Any tips on what you had to end up doing? I've tried a few things with no success.

      • Also stuck on the same problem.

        • I've also got the same problem, can't seem to get it to find with the embedded license using sputnik's instructions. Has anyone else figured out how to fix this?

          • @tlaing: What you need to do is check the embedded Windows key that's in the BIOS.

In Windows Search Bar, search "Windows Powershell" app, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator".

Then, type in the following command:
            wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey

This will show you the embedded Windows key. Type that into the Windows Activation box. If that key doesn't work then that means Dell has revoked that Windows key. It looks like some people got lucky and have "unmolested" keys so they easily installed Windows.

Of course, there are other ways to activate Windows in the high seas.

@MetroCom do you think you'll get more stock of these in future?

not sure if anyone is following this anymore. Had mine about a week now.

sonarr/Plex/VPN/Radarr/Tautulli/pi hole & various other things running on windows 11.

It doesn't break a sweat even with 3-4 concurrent streams.. would recommend

  • @MetroCom interested in buying couple more units as I am very impressed with the one bought.
It works great for Home Assistant, using about 1% CPU and 10% RAM for Home Assistant.

  • Oh ok… Anyways great device. I ended up getting Zorin OS and it updated bios which was good. Have tried Debian (which also updated the bios too).

I have had a go at upgrading ram and ended up with a 128gb M2 Sata card off Amazon. Both worked fine. Make sure the ram you get is 2400mhz. Higher and it may not start.
I also grabbed an additional ethernet port off Aliexpress which took a little playing around with to load but once setup properly, works well.
