Can anyone vouch for these or have a personal testimony? Keen to pull the trigger if it's good…

    • +2

      These are the original Oodies.

Really good stuff. Cant go wrong with them.
        Not like other cheap ones

      • +1

Actually The Comfy is. Was on shark tank.

    • +2

I can vouch for them, super comfy. I have two that are still going strong after years of use. For $30 it's definitely worth it.

    • +2

My partner owns the one on sale and has had it for almost four years.

Much better than the non-Oodie I own; thicker, does not fluff and roll on your other clothes like other cheaper brands and it just feels quality. Worth it at a higher price.

Cons? Very, very warm due to above so if you live in cool not cold climates would likely not wear as often and a cheaper brand may suffice.

      Thanks OP bought a second.

Pair with warm slippers and we save a lot on home heating bills and it is comfy when just lazing about reading a book or watching movies at night.

This. Too hot for Sydney. My wife has a real Oodie and I sweat in it if I wear it. I have a cheapy I bought from somewhere and it's heaps better. If in Sydney, unless your home is super cold or you feel the cold a lot, don't get it.

The other issue I have with it is that, most of the time when I'm on the couch watching Netflix, I want to be under a blanket with warm feet but I'm happy to have my torso a bit cooler. These are the opposite - hot torso but cold feet. I do really like it for WFH, as it keeps me a nice temperature when I'm at my desk watching Netflix working.

    • I've got two and they're great. They are a little overpriced imo but warm for winter and super comfy.

    • They are good and doesnt give you the itchy feeling like some lesser quality ones. We have 4 or 5 now and live in them during winter.

For winter its literally all you need, super warm and comfy.
      Me and partner have one.

I received an original Oodie a few Christmases ago. It’s really held up.

Gotta be honest, I thought they were daggy AF but when I’m working from home and at my desk, it’s just so darn comfy and warm. 8:30 daily stand ups with the team and they get it. Comfort first.

    • purchased one around black friday, havent got to use it much yet because its summer but from the times ive used it its nice and comfy, like a wearable blanket essentially

Yup great much better than the kmart ones. Bought 2 myself

    • +1

      I was a huge sceptic.

But i bought one from Amazon for this price and theres nothing you can get better than this.

    • Yeah his and her hoodies. Good times

  • +1

How much usually are they for

    • +2

$89-$109 depending on styles for Oodies.

Thanks OP. Just bought the sloth oodie as a gift.

i somehow feel oodies are waste of money. Why not wrap a good shawl or throw blanket when watching tv. And isnt great fashion sense when u go outside. I mean when will you be using the jackets and other winterwear, or good tee or jumpers or sweatshirts etc. when you just wanna go out in oodie. Its just a good marketing gimmick convincing us to use something for which we dont have a need.

    • +8

I used to feel the same until i brought one.

      • +3

        Where did you bring it?

        • To their house, after they bought it.

    • +4

Yeah I did that too. But shawls/blankets slide off your shoulders and you’re constantly pulling them up. Doesn’t happen with the Oodie. You’re fully enveloped.

    • +3

You better try one then you realize how much comfortable they are rather than a shawl or jumper.

I feel this is a dying business

    • He sold them as autism blankets and business was pretty meager, until he remarketed towards anyone and judging by the sponsorships I’d say he’s doing well!

  • +1

Styles dont seem relevant to promo (code), they couldve added more variety

  • +1

    Thanks Op, got two :)

I was so unhappy with my partner when she bought a pair for us. It was on a discount of $65 -$70 each about 3 years ago.

I however started liking it and been using it most of the time in cold melbourne winter.

    For $30 I believe it's a steal!

  • thanks got 6

  • +1

We got the Otter one and it is very cute.

These are very warm so if you are watching TV you can get away with one of these and a blanket for your legs most of the time.

I’m in Melbourne and I mostly use them in bed. They are great to wrap up in whilst the bed warms up, like a soft sleeping bag. They are also terrific whilst reading or using the iPad. We don’t generally heat the bedrooms even in winter. Just a small heater when getting changed.

I bought one for myself and nephew. After purchase, offered a Star Wars Oodie for $40 which I couldn't refuse. Damn their marketing!

I guess I just bought one for my sister as well.

    • Ored all 3 and I got the Adult Multi Star Wars for $50 instead
would have snatched it if it showed as $40

    • Same here! Bought one for the wife and kids but then the Star Wars offer came up so I got one for myself!

  • Looks like a great price and understandable that these are appealing, but I'm conflicted about the amount of micro plastics these will release around the house and into waterways when washed.

Hard to tell from the website, but I'm pretty sure these are 100% polyester.

    • +3

Most of the time I wear a t-shirt or thermal underneath. I wear them around the house so only I wash them a few times a year. The cuffs take a while to dry so I do have two I can alternate.

  • +4

i've saved a fortune in heating costs thanks to these

  • +2

    Thanks OP.

Didn't need it, so bought 2.

  • I look at this and if they can deep discount their product this much, just how little are the labour costs???

    • Its because these are old designs. They have been sold at full price and slightly discounted price for some time now..so the money and profit has been made already. Its fine to sell it really cheap now so that they can get room for new stock.

  • Thanks Op. Ordered 2.

  • Shame their 100% plastic (polyester)!

  • Suffocatingly hot inside that polyester.

    • That's the point of it though right? To get as hot as possible during winter.

  • An interesting alternative to a dressing gown. Generally baggy but sealed at the wrist. I prefer the German Shepherd design but it is $43.60: https://theoodie.com/products/german-shepherd-blanket

  • Thanks ordered one

  • +1

Landing page says $30 but the 60% off discount seems to supercede this code so price is $43.60.
