  • chromecast or amazon firestick? no deals for chromecast unfortunately :(

    • I'm on the same boat.
Firestick is on sale, so ill probably go for that

      • haha yeah exactly my thoughts this morning. Will just stick to the one on sale. After some research i prefer the chromecast but its $50 more than the firestick 4k on sale atm

  • This might be my first comment but I wanted to say thanks for the post. Been holding out for a decent 65" 120hz but can't go wrong buying this while I wait. Ordered from Braeside factory pickup.

If anyone could describe their impressions of the picture quality and brightness, that would be great

Just received today. Here you go the review!

Apparently this is the slowest domestic shipping I have ever received, so I'm guessing they were probably "pre-selling" the goods in shipment instead of a true clearance? But still, this is the cheapest OK quality TV on market, and prob better than those Kogans.

Spec wise, item is well packaged and light weight (nice plus); No quality issues so far; Picture quality is just as those Mid-range TVs in shopping mall; Not much heating after long time use.

However, one con is that the colour is clearly on the light/dull side and not that vibrant. So this is a leisure TV for relaxing, and might not be good for someone looking for thrill pics.

      Overall, I'm satisfied.

  • Dang, wish there was delivery option for SA. Was looking for a couple cheapy screens.

  • +1

Ordered one. Thanks for your input in your comments. Looks like a bargain for 4K non-smart tv.

How long after ordering have people been able to pickup ? Ordered Sat but only receiving a processing order email since then

    • +1

was about to ask the same thing - Ordered Saturday as well

      • +2

I think it said 3-5 days when I ordered

    • I get the status as “exported to Otto”. Not sure on what it means. It has been couple of days. Sent an email to there support email.

      • +1

Picked it up today for Melbourne braeside warehouse and it works like a charm. Sound bar / external speaker is a must. Cannot find fault with the 4K resolution. Overall very happy with the purchase. Cheers.

        • Did you get a ready to pick up email ?

        • @steve123 Can you comment on the picture quality compared to your other TV(s)?

  • +2

does it have any annoying startup sound, especially one that cannot be deactivated?

  • +5

Ordered with delivery on Friday, still haven't heard a peep other than the original confirmation email. Same with you guys too?

    • +2

Yeah. Hope I get it soon.

    • +1

Same - just emailed the support email asking.

  • +4

Yep same except order for pickup , sent a message via 'contact us' which says they'll respond in 2 days, hopefully receive an email saying ready to collect before then

  • +3

Paid over weekend. But no update after that.

    • +2

Yer in the same boat here. Ordered one on Saturday now it’s Thursday and no news regarding delivery

  • Certainly taking their time for a simple store pick up 🙄

  • +5

Hey all, still nothing yet .. awaiting pickup email for Sydney …I also read this update from another OzBaraginer in the previous deal and thought it was worth reposting here ….

" ….For those picking up, check the panel before leaving. You can ask for the TV to be opened and checked.

Our initial screen had dead pixels. Claimed warranty and brought the unit back to the warehouse for a new replacement. The first replacement also had dead pixels.

Glad we checked before we drove the new replacement unit home. Otherwise, the whole process was pretty straightforward…."

still nothing and no reply to my email from 3 days ago

  • Just got an email for pickup being ready in SA, Gillman warehouse. 7am-3pm time frame on weekdays is oppressive, but so goes the bargain life. Does anyone know if the TV can be laid flat when collecting to fit in a car/SUV?

    • +2

laying flat should be fine - Plasma TV's couldn't be laid flat.

The box should have plenty of padding inside, you might want to put some extra padding in the back of the car and obviously try not to go over "bumps"

    • How did you go with pick up? I just ordered one. What car did you use for pickup? I have a 2011 Corolla hatchback.

  • Anyone having issues with setting up AppleTV? On my much older Panasonic, remote works fine for volume and turning tv on/off but in HDMI3 which I believe supports CEC it’s not working.

Also noting some slight flickering on the menu screens, especially YouTube app.

Also underestimated the depth, sticks out a lot when hung on a wall.

Edit - also spot a couple dead pixels on top left corner. @soniqaustalia will look into return options

  • I’ve sent 2 emails and still nothing. No update or pickup email. My location is Sydney. Anyone else having the same issue?

    • +1

Same boat mate, 7 days and waiting

  • +2

how is the image quality ? has anyone got the order ?

      • Thanks a lot for the review. I currently got a Sony 32EX650 but it got pretty good colours. I am wondering whether getting this Soniq would be a good upgrade (32" 1080p -> 55" 4K) or hang on for a bit more.

  • Ordered placed 9feb and havent heard back 😒
No phone nor email contacts on the site

    • +3

I replied to the order confirmation email, emails Soniq support email AND filled out the support contact form on the full Soniq website and got a reply. The email to let me know pickup was ready was from Julie Heller. Without posting the exact email address, if you used the syntax firstname.lastname AT Soniq dot com, that would be correct to get in touch that way.

  • Has anyone got theirs delivered yet?

    • I got the order confirmed on 14/2 and still waiting.

    • Picked mine up on Tuesday

    • Updated! I just got mine delivered this morning. Southbank 3006, VIC

  • +1

I just got an email, ready for pickup in Regents Park between Mon - Friday 7am - 4pm (I will go later today)
ill ask to open TV and check it before i leave, will let you know how that goes.

hopefully same email coming soon for rest of you

    • Got the email as well, same as another mate. Hopefully they have an area we can plug in and test

      • There is powerpoints on the wall next to where they have the tvs.

FYI the TVs have been there since Tuesday. I managed to get warehouse managers mobile number and he messaged me when the pallets arrived.

  • +1

Yeah no outlet to test onsite, brought it home and all OK with the screen. Happy with the purchase.

  • Picked mine up 9am-ish Thu from Braeside after receiving "ready for collection" email the day before. Didn't test at factory but no dead pixel issues after checking last night.

  • Received my delivery today. Panel was damaged (the box had visible damage). Grumble.

The courier had send an SMS a couple of days earlier that it was in the system, but received no notification that it was actually out for delivery until after it had been delivered (thankfully I was home at the time)

  • anyone happened to fit theres in the back of a current model outback? Measuring the dimensions it "should" fit, but it will be very close - might have to lay it down in the boot

    • Were you able to fit this in the back of SUV? I have to pick up 2 TVs, so just wondering if I have to lay it down

      • Sorry, Picking up tomorrow

Doing some quick measurements - it could fit across, behind the drivers/passanger seats - the hard part is getting it in due to angles - if only doors opened out straight…..

I believe I will end up laying it down in the boot

  • I got home at 9:30 tonight after being out all day and it was just sitting on the balcony with no call email or notification of delivery 😬

  • Received email saying it was ready for pickup on 16/02 from the Gillman location. Went to pick it up today only to be told someone else had collected it already?? Hopefully they get a replacement in, will see how it goes.

    • Picked it up today without any issues, seems to be in good condition too. No dead pixels like others have mentioned.

  • Can anybody else give a review of the picture quality?
