    Spanner.

    • Joker Spanner.

      • Listen up boys, tonight we're going to take down the Batman!
        Everyone grab their Joker Wrench (TM) and get moving.

        Uhm, boss?
        Ain't these just spanners?

        Oh?
        Well, give it here and let me see.

        thunk thunk thunk

        Hmmm… nope, seems like a perfectly good JOKER WRENCH to me.

        Anyone else got a complaint?
        No?
        Then get a move on, you useless lugs!

  • No jokes about Wera quality.

    Happy with wera products but I don't need more spanners for indoors as nice as these are.
    The joker self setting spanners look amazing but with that much bulk id use a ratchet ring or socket in my line of work
    BTW not good to compare to ratchet spanners as these are more slender and are useful for certain circumstances.
    I really have too many tools but these are really nice.
    7-19mm for the self setting spanners
    5.5-19mm for the fixed combinations
    If anyone was curious

  • Why not this set instead for $165?

    12 rather than 15 pieces - look like the same tools except not the two biggest ones or the smallest one. Is the quality lower or something?

      Good find.
      Please correct me if im providing wrong info.
      The 19mm and 17mm are very expensive to buy separately, maybe $40 each.
      Could almost suggest the Wera 004178 5pc for $53 if you wanted specific sizes
      Ah the Wera rabbit hole

      • I'm not even a mechanic but I'm fairly sure those sizes are mechanic specific sizings for weird cars. Probably why they cost more individually.

          They're just common spanner sizes for hex fasteners.
          Eg:
          M6 = 10mm wrench
          M8 = 13mm wrench
          M10 = 17mm wrench
          M12 = 19mm wrench

          I've got a few different sets for work. Not really mechanic specific though. Im still using my dads tools like the Gedore's 17mm/13mm and 21mm/19mm open end spanners. They're over 40y old and look great still.
          I wouldn't buy a set of tools unless its for a specific purpose, too much weight and space. The knipex pliers wrenches are bulky but quite amazing. I only have one shifter but im looking at those VDE Joker self adjusting spanners with hungry eyes. Electrician
