      The one that makes lights.

      • +1

Just remember that you will need to install them upside down to make them compatible with down in Australia.

  • Hmmm I've been thinking about replacing 4 Lifx downlights that give me constant trouble.

    • These are ZigBee so need a hub, unlike WiFi based Lifx

      • Yeah, already running HA with a Conbee.

  • Do these work with Home Assistant?

    • They work great with HA. Any old zigbee hub and they pair up perfectly.
      I used one wit with Z2M ,
      Haven’t tried with ZHA

Either way, they’re nice for thr price

      • Being hardwired devices, does this kind of downlight typically act as a Zigbee repeater?

        • Yes they do

          • @hen dawg: does it actually work as a repeater? my Ikuu walter downlights do not….the Walter ones only act as end points.

            • +1

@bleugh: They show as such on ZigBee2MQTT Map and device type shows as Router.
I've got 3 of the regular ones, plus 1 bigger one

              • @hen dawg: awesome, thankyou muchly!.
I'll be buying a bunch tomorrow after I get paid!

      • Thank you!

  • Why are cut-out size is 150mm? Isn't 90mm is the normal size for home?

  • Yet another no-brand product from them. Time to be brave and transparent to your customers?

    • I couldn't find this model anywhere…and i have better google-fu than most. it's clearly some level of customisation

it is ultimatley a Tuya zigbee device internally, but, so is 90% of the 'cheap' stuff in Bunnings/Kogan/Woolies/Turks etc etc.

these seem well engineered, meet AU standards supplied by an AU supplier.

I got a load of the Mercator IKUU downlights - those really are 'no-brand' products, seems to be little to zero customisation for the AU market. however, they're again AU standard, and therfore 'safe' to be installed and under insurance.

either way, not sure what you intend to achieve by your statement.

  • Got the mirabella downlight last night from kmart for $25

    • +3

The Mirabella ones are wifi. The ones in the post are Zigbee. Zigbee > Wifi in my experience.

    • Wifi is cheaper

  • Just wondering if anyone has experience buying from this seller? Mainly in terms of warranty and returns?

90cm/150cm!!! Wow. Would only need 1 per room - great saving!

  • +1

Not sure it's an issue with these models or not but worth being aware. With my Mercator zigbee RGB downlights, the colours are significantly dimmer. I.e a 9w bulb rated at ~700lms only uses 1-2w in any of the colours and is so dim it would only be useful if used as very dim mood lighting.

    • You want 12w downlights for better brightness

      • We have quite a few, white is fine, it's just colour (I'd assumed they'd also be 9w when using colour but not).

        • I have 9w and 12w and you can see the 12w are much brighter 9w is ok for areas you don't need brightness tho

    • +1

      THIS….
I only purchased the Mercator ones to have a Zigbee controllable white. It's great to alter brightness and colour temperature throughout the day. The colour is dim, but fun for the odd occasion at night, the kids love it

  • Just purchased 10, great price!, daughter will be happy i'm finally doing her room!

  • A quick heads up - the report of these from Home Assistant - ZIgbee2MQTT
