I wasn't even aware of it until your promoted it on ozbargain!
The thing is, when you're a kid these toys are exciting and a bit of a treat. You didnt have the means to buy them yourself.
As an adult, any little trinket they put in it wouldn't be exciting as its going to have a low value and you could buy it IF you wanted it.
One thing that may interest me purely for nostalgia sake would be a relaunch of older toys. Not saying I would buy them but it would certainly be cool.
I hope they're including adult toys. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The toy is cool. I got Uptown Moe.
Checked eBay and there’s quite a few listings, one with six buddies (no golden nugget) + a folded box for $129.

If they wanted to make it nostalgic for adults then they should have used the traditional McDonalds characters they spent millions establishing/promoting and seem to not want to use anymore. If we have to look up who the heck Kerwin Frost is then I don't think it can command a celebrity price. Why would I want a nugget character looking like someone most wouldn't have a clue about? Not worth it.

then I could think of a million nicer ways to die than the agony of a slow Macca's death….

Maccas is terrible, got a lot of people brainwashed around the world, great marketing, fools lining up
