    6% is better than the interest rate I'm getting with my bank. Use with other discounts as mentioned above and can save over 14 cents a litre.

      Ampol fuel is usually more expensive. 6% discount is not enough.

        Where I am, most of the different brands are fairly competitive. Usually I hear Shell are the ones that are more expensive.

          I find the Ampol locations offering competitive prices usually do not accept EDR and/or fuel voucher. In other words, you'll miss out the discount and/or a current Ampol offer on EDR. The current best offer is 1k EDR pts on $50 spend.

            @Neoika: They would be the franchised locations if those Ampol locations don't accept EDR at all. Those locations would also not be accepting the Ampol partner discounts (Toyota, NRMA, Hyundai, etc). Those are generally branded as "Ampol (town/suburb name)" above the store, or they are third party convenience stores that may use their own convenience branding such as "Foodworks Ampol" or "Sunrise Ampol", etc.

            All 600+ corporate/company-owned Ampol locations (all branded as Ampol Foodary) all accept EDR for points accrual at the minimum. Many of 200+ Foodary locations that also accept the WW fuel discounts were previously part of the former Woolworths/Caltex JV.

    The stacking of offers is not something that I've seen being done always, sometimes the register guy says we cannot stack all and only applies Woolworths 4c off reward but not toyota or NRMA.

      coles one can stack coles 4c off with one other 4c off. But coles one doesn't have gift card to make a further savings.

        For me the best works out to be EG as you can get 4c Woolworths voucher, $5 spend gives you additional 4c off and I am on origin energy so that gives me more 4c, so in total can stack with 12c off..

          Totally depends on what fuel you are getting and on what day. Ampol gives 4c a litre for Woolworths.

          If you are getting premium unleaded or diesel and the price is say $1.85 a litre, you end up paying about $1.70 with the 4c a litre discount applied then paying with 6% discounted gift cards.

          That is 14c off vs your 12c.

          If the fuel is $1.95 a litre, you are saving 15.46c instead of 12c.

    Why is it only $100 and below ? Why can’t they also sell $500 gift cards at a time instead of small amounts?

        If you get an invoice, it will show you the amount remaining on the gift card.

        If you have Iphone/iOS, I am not sure Android works, you can save the gift card in your Iphone Wallet and it will show the next day the update value after you use it the day before, hope this work for you.

        By the way I just bought $1000.

      I did read elsewhere across the social media that EG has started updating their software to accept Ampol DigitalCash, so I'd assume EG will eventually join the Ampol Digitalcash network.

        Far as I know the woolies one only accept the Ampol physical gift card but not digital

      530 'EG Ampol' branded should be accepting the EG branded E-Gift cards (formely branded as the Woolworths Fuel/Caltex Woolworths E-Gift Cards).

      None of the Ampol Foodary (and previously Ampol MetroGo) had ever accepted any form of Woolworths E-Gift cards.

      About 200+ Ampol Foodary/MetroGo sites had accepted the physical form of Woolworths Essentials/Wish Gift Cards until late 2021. MetroGo was rebranded to Foodary in late 2022.

    Does anyone know how to add it to walletpass on Android? The new version only allows download to passwallet.

      Download the pass wallet app…I did manage to take a screenshot, and scan it on my phone via walletpass and it sort of added to it in a very weird way. It said error but after i exited the app and came back in, it was showing as a valid pass

      I will utilize existing cards on WalletPass and then switch over to Passwallet

    I used mine at EG Arden St North Melbourne today. The lady asked me to enter the PIN which stumped me for a few seconds, you just press the green button (no PIN required)

    $185.9 ULP - 5c EG App - 4c Woolworths EDR - 11c 6% Shopback = $165.9c not too shabby
