  Are these any good? How does the fill weight and body fit compare with the Kathmandu epic? Just asking because I know some down jackets are just looks and no warmth. Warmth being the only reason I’d buy one. Would use in NZ and UK.

    Visited the macpac store today. The clearance halo jackets felt pretty cheap. I suspect the 80/20 down/feather blend was pretty optimistic. Also the fit of these jackets are for shorter/stockier/wider body types and as you go up sizes the torso gets really wide which gets baggy and is no good for keeping warm, unless it fits you of course. $100 is on the money for this jacket though I wouldn’t pay more.
