"May show minor to heavy wear signs"

Right, so anything between ok and garbage.

"May show minor to heavy wear signs"

If they call this "A grade (Good condition)", I don't want to see their B grade…

One of the first google hits is $482 as 'pristine' condition inc delivery.

    • +2

I’m seeing at least $565 for ‘pristine’ on that site, though $481 for ‘excellent’ is still better than this deal.

      • I'm seeing 565 for Excellent haha

        • Hmm, you're right. Either I'm seeing things or the site keeps changing the price 🤔

Literally just had to return a premium condition iPhone 12 from here. Screen was clearly non-authentic, couldn't display blacks (dark grey at best, and very grainy), colours were also very dull. Apple also had a permanent notification in settings that the screen was detected as non-authentic. Return is taking weeks and may not even get my money back if they deem nothing is wrong. Be careful.

      • Credit card dispute - goods not as ordered.

        • 100% the plan if no refund. iPhone 12 is a good phone, will probably pick up the amaysim deal instead (brand new).

    Fully tested and wiped

For anyone wondering what “refurbished” means.

    • +2

You wonder where it was "Wiped"

      • Do they mean , arse wipe 🤔

That one is the 12 Mini?

Refurbished used to mean the device was restored to be like new. Now it just a misleading term thrown on all used stuff to make it appear better than it is.

Yes, you are correct. If you buy from Apple. “You will receive a refurbished device with genuine Apple replacement parts (as needed) that has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Refurbished iOS devices will come with new battery and outer shell. Every device will come with all accessories, cables and operating systems. All Apple Certified Refurbished products are packaged in a brand-new white box and will be sent to you with free shipping and returns"

If you buy this device you have no idea the number of cycles the battery has and the capacity. At least if you buy directly from Apple you get new battery. So worth paying a bit more and getting directly from Apple.

Except Apple doesn’t sell refurbished iPhones in Australia.

        • @ak47wong: Probably here in Australia they probably really "Wipe" with their phones, so even Apple don't want to refurbish it 🤔

Amazon sell “renewed” iPhones. Price is higher than OP though…

We purchased one of these for work for an employee. In all honesty it did not look great at all and we had to buy a new one at the end. It just had too many dents and scratches. Neg from me.

  • they have just put up deal today how have people bought already n sent them back?

  • The word “refurbished” needs to be regulated somehow. It just means garbage quality nowadays imho. Even the ad is just ridiculous when it says “A grade (Good condition)”. Ok, rated by who? Yourself (the salesman)?

  • Fully tested and wiped is not equal to refurbished. Unless the OP specifies exactly what they mean by "refurbished", this is misleading at best.
