  • Is it easy to repack this thing? Anyone who has got it?

    • +1

From the previous deal comments, it looks like it's better than the kmart one in terms of packing

    • +1

We have one with similar mechanism to put it down. Works well, much better than the ones that you need to twist into some sort of balloon animal. Main hassle getting into carry case is to roll it up tight/thin enough. On a windy day I'll defer that battle to we're home.

There's a reason why CoolCabana is the dominant design on the beach. The thing just works. I can't speak for this product from Anaconda but the coolcabana is very well designed.

      • +1

i bought a similar model at costco and have been using it for 3-4 years. went to the beach last time, two of the Cabana collapsed in strong wind but our was ok with a single guy line. ymmv

      • +1

YMMV. I've had nothing but problem with my coolcabana whenever there is wind. In those situations I just give up and pack the thing up and these days hesitatant to take it out. I still see people sitting there holding onto the pole or putting things around trying to not have it blown away. I do have the large ones so that may be the issue, I've seen the smaller ones withstand the wind when mines blowing all over the place.

    • +1

      Yes easily pack

I guess I’ve found my new house

then join the tiny houses on fakebook to find place to put in it on…..

  • I couldn't find its weight in the specs. Is it heavy?
    Thanks

  • +1

So cheap you can just leave it there.

    • +1

yea most people should have a good think about how much they actually need one of these.

We gave one to our neighbour since he was asking about ours, he goes to the beach at least 1 if not twice per week. He hasnt used it all summer

We bought a lighter, more compact one from ikea on clearance before summer, havent used it yet

  • This looks like a perfect companion tent for small children to have lunch away from the sun, wind and sand. Nice find OP👍

So this one is 140cm high?

  • Outdoor moped shelter. 🤣

  • +1

Nice now I can add an extra room to my BCF swag setup, expanding my new house one Ozbargain deal at a time

  • Any good giftcard deals to stack with this?

    • from memory its fairly easy to get $5? $10? credit off $45? spend?
sorry its been a while and cbf searching, it's an easy task for the credit if you wanted to spend that amount.

      • +3

WELCOME10 is the code with a new account and minimum spend of $50.

  • Any thought how this one compares? The $29.99 flip beach shelter: https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/tents/beach-su…

  • I bought the 2.0 version last year, easy to get up/down, just small storage bag which bit struggle to put in. Seems been fixed for version 3.0

  • Got one, thanks OP.

  • Paid $29 last month used twice can confirm it is pretty good in general.

  • +3

I've got this or older model.

Works well and easy to setup. Can handle wind.

    Flaws:
    - pain to roll up into carry bag. I just roll it best I can and tie the string around it. Don't bother with the carry bag.
    - the side air gaps can let in a lot of sunlight. I just peg a towel to the side to prevent this.

    • +1

      noted but bought because cheap

    • Okay, but bought because its cheap

    • -1

Wasnt going to buy but now I will, thanks.

  • had my eye on this one for a while. thanks op

  • on a high windy day, these are like kites toy compared to Coolcabana but its okay to use on a normal day

    • How much is the coolcabana?? Genuine question.

      • $200 for L size

        • Wow so ten times as much…. How many fit in that and does it hold up ten times the wind force? That's the real question

          • @neonlight: Coolcabana is the one that will shield you from the sun. You need to shift around as the sun moves. This $19.99 is useless you get trapped inside while the sun will roast you inside out.

Please explain how this is related to a beach shelter

      • -6

Spotlight Foundation is Zionist and sends money to Israel. Spotlight Group owns Anaconda.

        • so still to explain how this relates to a beach shelter?

          • +2

@CharityCase: It's called a boycott. I imagine they are boycotting any deals from Anaconda and related businesses.

        • +1

May I ask if you're also boycotting by being unemployed and not paying taxes? As our gov also sends money to Israel? Are you actively trying to leave Australia because of this or is this all for social credit points?

          • -1

@lookingforadeal7: I'm doing my part as best as I can, a concept you are clearly struggling to grasp.

            • -2

@spy: You're brainwashed by Pallywood propaganda

    • +1

      I support a nice bargain

  • +1

If anyone is worried about it flying away like a kite we purchased this for same sale price (40) and used it a couple times.

    https://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/tents/beach-su…

This one has pockets to place sand on the sides, we had a small sandstorm at the beach other week and saw plenty of umbrellas, cabanas or tents break or fly off but our tent didn't budge.

      • How? Showing 39.99 to me

        • Thats porbbaly $20 + $20 delivery

      • @zorodluffy showing $40 for me too mate. How do you get $20?

        • Make sure its not $20 and $20 delivery, I changed mine to click and collect and its $20

          • @zorodluffy: Listed price is $40. I'm doing click Nd collect. I add to basket, go all the way to checkout, $40. $0 deliver as it's click and collect.

            • @lordra: My listed price is $19.99.

I clickdd the 'go to deal' button and bought through that link, did you use the same link?

              • @zorodluffy: Hahaha, mate, I see what has happened. It's all about context! You had me sooo excited there for a moment.

We're all replying to @daniesaurs post. They have linked one for $40. Which is different to op of $20. I thought you had a way to get it further discounted.

All good. I'll go with @daniesaurs shelter instead.

                • @lordra: O craps, my bad lol, ill delete my original comment haha

  • Bought as an auxiliary tent for the cabana. Thanks OP!

  • What’s the difference between v2 and v3?

    • +1

v2 can open from back (from picture v3 seems not), and v2 has a very slim storage bag which is always struggle to put in, but seems v3 has fixed the issue. And also some color different between dark blue and lighter/lake blue

  • Part of the Spotlight Foundation

  • Sportpight foundation

  • Lots of Click & Collect in Anaconda Springvale - trolley full at the counter.

  • Realistically this only fits one adult or 2 kids right?

  • went for the boracay 3.0 for $39.95 which was worth the extra $$ imo. it's 2mx2mx1.45m high with sand pockets. sign up for membership and get $10 off $50 minimum spend. I bought a couple of clearance beach toys to get it to $50.

  • Thanks guys, great recommendation. Picked up one and we love it. fits me, missus and mini-me

  • Set it up at the beach today, took less than 1min. Pack up took me 2mins.
Quality is beyond my expectation for this price.
Thinking of getting a second one 😂

  • kmart has it for $10 i think
