It's still better than no protection for my little ones, essentially who I bought it for. It's a pop up tent, size will be a sacrifice of course but for $20 just be realistic about it.

For $20 i expect the world on a silver platter.

So hard being a single mother you know.

  • Is this easy to put back into the bag?

    • +2

      yes

      • Thanks…Sometimes the shelter can be tricky to put back into the bag especially when it is windy at the beach.

    Thanks OP, got one!

They are only as good as the pegs you use. A set of plastic 40cm pegs will mean it will never blow away.
    Looks an excellent price.

    • Better than what I read it as …

  • $18.99 delivery fee for me, too much.

    • You can do C&C (i.e. pick it up from your local store) for free of course.

I got this for $9.99 last time it went on sale 25/05/2022 but still haven't used it

F@ck that !!!!!! Thanks OP but if I buy it my wife will make me go to the beach more often and my sandwiches and I will get covered in that bastard sand I've tried my best so far to avoid.

    • the sandbar is not a dinner plate, hold your hand above the ground and dont go to the beach on a windy day :)

Bought one on the way to the beach today!
Actually super impressive and very easy to put/take down compared to those spring-loaded alcatraz style disc shaped ones

We had a similar model that we used for years. The easy popup works but can require a bit of strength as the tent gets older. But we have moved to a Cabana. Far more expensive i know but we found the tent got too hot, even with windows open, which then let the sun in. Cabana more sociable if you have friends and lets you see all round.

    • Having friends is where I struggle :-)

      • Friends? What is this friends you speak off. You speak so highly of these 'friends'

  • Anybody used these before? Any good?

Yeh was just using yesterday actually.

Setup/packup is a breeze, whichever one you get make sure it's the same type of pop mechanism.

It's about 2/3rds the depth of a 4 man sized tent, which makes it comfortable for 2 adults (and a kid or 2) but wouldn't want much more than that in it.

The mesh sides are good for ventilation but of course you end up getting the sun too as the day goes on. Would have been good if could roll up/down a cover over them.

Can still get a bit warm in it but can also zip down the back wall a bit if there's a breeze.

I think we paid $40 and are happy enough with it so at $20 can't go wrong.

  • I just received mine. Very happy with the size and packing up was easy. I'd rather pay $20 + shipping for this than getting the $19 from Kmart https://www.kmart.com.au/product/pop-up-beach-shelter-427814…
