Was shopping around for an ultrasonic cleaner and it's so hard to tell which ones are dodgy or not but came across this one which seems a pretty good price, and has a good Amazon review rating (4.3 Stars with 2,126 ratings).

Selling for $54.99 but a $30 coupon appears for a net price of $24.99.

Note: The coupon didn't appear for me everytime I loaded the page, I have already purchased one with the coupon but only appears now in private browsing mode.

I have no idea if this one is any good - I'll let y'all know how I get on.

Depends how confident you are in the waterproofing… I wouldn't put my several $x,000s watch into any kind of ultrasonic cleaner.

    • +1

You wouldn't submerged the entire watch in water. You put the watch on a water holder, only the bracelet is in water.

Ideally you would remove the bracelet for cleaning.

    • +1

i heard you shouldn't put. Take bracelet/strap off and just do that. Clean wash with mild soap and tooth brush.

Can you use this for dentures ?

  • Thanks OP! Have been wanting one for ages. A friend offered to clean my rings (I wear them full time) in her little machine and they came out brand new! Can’t wait to use this one.

    • I wouldn’t have allowed her to clean my jewels in her little machine

This is one of the more decent looking ones. My dad wanted an ultrasonic cleaner to clean his dentures, the ones specifically designed for dentures have ultraviolet light but they are no good for other objects due to confined space. After comparing a few on Amazon based on reviews, features, price, and appearance, decided to get this LifeBasis one.

Paid $51 back in December, bought another one for myself. This deal at $25 is so good, bought a third one.

  • i clicked the $30 off but in cart its $55. Anything im doing wrong?

    • +2

Proceed further to payment, it will show final price.

      • worked, thanks.

  • Does anybody have this specific model? There are a lot of bad reviews saying it doesn't work at all.

    • Yes. Saw that too. Use it a few times. If it doesn’t work, return it within the specified time for a full refund

  • -1

    It doesn't work at all.

    • +2

      try plugging it in

      • +1

        and turning it on.

        (Ohhh babyyyyy)

  • Wonder if this is good to clean coins ?

    • I've been experimenting with the ALDI one on coins for the past few days and it works pretty well, it's not mind blowing but it definitely pulls off the crap. Purists will hate it but I only collect circulated coins anyway and they come out a lot nicer than they go in

Damnit, missed this, coupon seems to be gone.

  • What house hold cleanser can you put in this? Or just water?

    • +1

comments indicate a drop of dishwashing detergent

  • Ordered. Thanks;

The $30 coupon is gone, price has increased to $80, now with a $20 coupon. Effectively becomes $60.

The seller or algorithm wanted to seize the demand opportunity, did they not know the links came from OZB? And demand only exist when it was $25. :D

  • damn it, i was in the office today and missed out :(

      If only offices had internet

      • lol, fibre optics. i had tons of meetings and couldn't get back to my office to shop, so i missed out. :(

  • Missed the boat any alternatives?

  • After google it for difference way to clean glasses len, seems like dishwashing liquid is the best and no need to buy those len spray.

  • Put my Braun electric shaver head in the cleaner with water and a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid. The junk that came off of it was amazing - and it had already been through a cleaning cycle.

Rings and necklaces all came up sparkling clean too.

    • i also use for cleaning nuts and bolts before reassembly of car parts … lots of uses for an ultrasonic cleaner , have small one in bathroom and 10 litre one in garage.

    Received mine,
    Cleaned dirty glass as new.

  • Arrived tonight and tested it on my everyday glasses. Works well! Don't think they've ever been this clean.

I'll give it a go on my retainers tomorrow

  • I tried this on my retainer today and it looks exactly the same. Did I get a faulty one?

    • check what came off the retainer and is in the botttom of the cleaner.

      • The retainer looks the same, water was clear and nothing else left in the cleaner.

    • Try using some mouth wash and in it run it for 5 minutes. My retainers were bad it got most of it off. Still a bad spot at end of my top one going to try with different liquid solutions see what works best.

  • Received mine and tested on glasses - cleaned it reasonably well. Happy with this

  • Got mine, but model says CDS-100 and on amazon it says its a CSB-113. Anyone know if there is a difference?

    • +3

      Same here, received the CDS-100

  • Put a couple of coins in. One was from 1969 and pretty gunky. Ran it for 300 seconds and the coins came out… exactly the same as I put them in. Used a drop of Morning Fresh and water. Removed the basket and the water was still spotless.

    Finding it does nothing…
Tried with just water and also with a few drops of dishwashing liquid.
180s each time, didn't make any difference.

Is it supposed to make a rapid ticking noise while operating?

    • +1

I agree. Tried jewellery, glasses, and watch strap. This doesn't do anything that water and wipe wasn't already doing

      • Agree. I have used it for all aligners . No use so returning this

    • agree, seems like a very low frequency, not supposed to see the water ripples.

    300s i believe

    • what are we looking at? EDIT: nevermind - read the amazon listing to the end :-)

  • Tried mine and works. Creates smokey cloud and dried toothpaste came off my watch band

  • Damn my order was cancelled 😡

    • +1

Message them and Amazon to ask for voucher for the difference

      • They said it was a third party seller so they won't honour the price. :(

        • Try message the seller themselves? Because they cancelled it and asked you to order again, they should issue another discount voucher for you.
