First post.

Saw this on the Ainol Store as I was browsing for their tablets.

Seems like an OK deal. Note: The store page says only 100 units are available.

Better Deal with Dual Core CPU

Also note AinolStore.com is not the official Ainol Store, it's just a website with that name that sells Ainol Stock…so not sure about it's "safety". Not saying anything bad….but just saying, maybe Google it. I remember seeing some people discussing the issue in regards to having a number of problems. (But that's almost with most of these sites selling China Tabs)

    • No way, those sneaky buggers!

Thanks for letting us know Spectator.

    • good info, always gotta be extra safe when dealing with ainol..

AinolStore ran by @denghongterry who also runs Android In A Box and ZZKKO (and maybe lots others). Definitely not an official store.

if you're worried about safety while shopping at the "ainol" store, just use protection when entering from the back door…

      …use paypal =)

  • I'd much prefer a double core in my Ainol.

Make sure you use adequate lubrication…

  • Does anyone know how good these single cores are? I have a Hyundai A7 with an Allwinner A10 1Ghz single core cpu that I got a while back, and while all apps run pretty well it is almost impossible to browse non-mobile websites with. It all works ok, but it will pause for up to a minute while loading a page (long enough for me to pick up my HP touchpad, open the browser and type the url in and load it, and also long enough for the screen to go to sleep). Tried to overclock it but crashes beyond 1.1Ghz (note: running elvish rom)

Apart from that sometime gmail app is a bit slow, but everything else is good.

    • should also mention the A7 only has a 800x480 screen so less pixels to push around

I am looking for a 7 inch 3G + GSM(phone) Android device with decent battery and speed. Can anybody point me to a device?
(Sorry, posted this in a 10inch deal, too, realized that was a 10 inch product later)

    • You'll be hard pressed to find a decent chinatab with 3G, the only cheap-ish 3G tablets that are decent are old previous gen name brand tablets. The majority of the 3G chinese tablets I've seen have some budget phone SoC on it like the MSM7227 or MTK6573. I have seen one MTK6575 but the gpu on that is still kinda bad (SGX531). The best chance you've got of getting a decent 3G tablet is waiting for the MTK6588 to end up in a tablet. Quad Core Cortex A7 + SGX544 isn't a bad combo, problem is even the phones have yet to really start being sold yet so that'll probably take awhile.

      • Thanks!

      • Kikkoman56 and Scrimshaw:

thanks for having responded to my question regarding which tablet 7 inch with phone to buy.
I am still looking at the Freelander PD10 8GB and PD20 8GB. I wonder what the difference is, one website said that the

        PD10:
        2G: GSM 850/900/18001900MHz
        3G: WCDMA 2100MHz

        and

        PD20:
        GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
        WCDMA: 850/900/1900/2100MHz(IMT-2000)

Would that make a difference in Australia using it on, say, Optus?

Thanks for helping me to understand these products.

    • There you go:
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/83170

They're all over the $140 mark, and strangely enough none of them feature dual cores, only running single core A10 or MediaTek chipsets.

      • Thanks! I found the 8GB version for 165 shipped at BUYSku. I read that one SIM slot is 2G GSM and the other 3G. Does that mean I need two SIM cards to use data and make calls?

        • You can do that just using 1 sim card in slot 1, no need for a second sim.
