  • Book an eligible Qantas marketed and operated flight by 11.59pm (AEDT) 27 February 2024, for travel between 28 February 2024 and 14 February 2025.

There's also a separate double points offer for Qantas Business Rewards members.

Qantas Frequent Flyer members who register and make an Eligible flight booking between 12.01am (AEDT) Wednesday 21 February 2024 and 11.59pm (AEDT) Tuesday 27 February 2024 for travel between 28 February 2024 and 14 February 2025, will have a choice of either one (1) of two (2) available rewards. The choice of either double Qantas Points or double Status Credits must be made before 11.59pm (AEDT) Tuesday 27 February 2024 via the Qantas App or qantas.com. An email will be sent confirming successful registration. An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this promotion means a Qantas marketed and operated flight (with a QF flight number) on an Australian Domestic or International ticket where Qantas Points and Status Credits are normally earned. Any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan and other partner airlines will not be eligible for this offer. For full details, see Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions. Double Qantas Points or double Status Credits will not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. See Airline Earning Table for details. The reward chosen will be earned on each eligible flight booked within the offer period and only one (1) reward can be chosen per member. If a member registers for multiple rewards or changes their reward, the reward fulfilled will be the last reward chosen before 27 February 2024. For example, if you register for double Status Credits and book an eligible flight, you will earn double Status Credits. If you proceed to change your reward to double Qantas Points and book another eligible flight before 11.59pm (AEDT) Tuesday 27 February 2024, you will earn double Qantas Points on both bookings. Double Qantas Points and double Status Credits will be credited within eight weeks after travel. Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/Challenge earn requirements. Status Credits are not transferable and will be governed by the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions. Full or part travel of an itinerary is eligible only if you book (regardless of payment date) and travel within the promotional dates as listed above. If you cancel your initial qualifying booking or change it to be outside the promotional period, the double Qantas Points or double Status Credits offer will not apply. This bonus offer applies to travel taken by the recipient who registered for the offer. Other passengers in the same booking must register separately to be eligible for this offer. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to earn double Qantas Points or double Status Credits. This offer is not transferable. If you qualify and register for multiple bonus Qantas Points and bonus Status Credits offers for the same flight segment, the highest value bonus Qantas Points and bonus Status Credits offer will be applied to each individual qualifying segment. Double Qantas Points are based on the Base Rate which applies, or the Minimum Points Guarantee if applicable and for the purpose of this promotion does not include any Status Bonus that may apply for tier members. Only one double Qantas Points and double Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. Double Qantas Points and/or double Status Credits may be earned on multiple eligible flight bookings made during the promotion period. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Points or Status Credits offers offered by Qantas. Flights are subject to availability and any applicable fare conditions. Flights can be booked via the Qantas website including the Qantas App, a travel agent, or Qantas Contact Centres. Fees and charges may apply. Flight gift vouchers purchased during the promotion but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period will not earn double Qantas Points or double Status Credits.

                      • @nightelves: Amazing… now that concrete confirmation
I didn’t read the FAQs as I assumed they’d purposefully skip it!
I might even book in my Xmas flights for next annual window of status.
                        Thanks again bud!

          • @nightelves: waiiittttt. Rewards points booking earns SC?

            • +1

@Fasian: Only if you have Points Club or Point Club+

              • @nightelves: Hi, I hope you would not mind if I follow up on one silly question about the SC earned with Point Club membership.

I wonder whether this specific SC also benefits by dividing a route into more legs.

For example, according to the official SC table for Class Reward Flight, Domestic Australia long flights (1,501 and over miles) in Business will give me 38 SC, to which I believe SYD-PER (~2,000 miles) is classified.
                If I break it into SYD-MEL-PER, would I earn 56 SC (i.e., 18 SC from SYD-MEL (~560 miles) and 38 SC from MEL-PER (~2,000 miles)) instead?

Sorry, I am rather new to this SC game, and the Point Club rule really confuses me.

    • You can try Mel - Wellington Business Sale Fare (80 + 80) = 160 Status point and return on Economy Sale Fare (20+20) = 40 Status Point on direct QF flight.

      • How much is one way to Wellington?

        • Mel - Wellington Business Sale Fare = $877
Wellington - Melbourne Economy Sale Fare = $372

Lame, already booked my March-April flights…

  • My company-chartered flights are QF flights that I earn SC and points on. Ive registered but Im thinking they wont get the bonus?

    • Only if theyre booked AFTER the bonus has been selected.

  • Does anyone know if flights need to be booked through Qantas directly? or can I just book my work trip through the travel agent we have and still get the double SC?

    • You can use any booking channel you like.

      • What if they are booked for you???

    • Flights can be booked via the Qantas website including the Qantas App, a travel agent, or Qantas Contact Centres.

  • I have booked 2 returns business from ool to Akl
Hopefully to get platinum at the end of this year haha
    Oh yeah!

    • What was the cost and how many SC do you get?

      • Ool-mel-akl return $1750 140 one way so 180 return then 560 sc

        • +2

Not bad although $3.5k+ is still a big investment just to have platinum for a year.

          • @capslock: Yes that’s what I have done :)

          • @capslock: Gotta eat lots of calamari and Pavs to get your money's worth - lol.

I personally don't think cost benefit is worth it if you don't travel much internationally - yeah the SG First lounge is great as is the Emirates First in Dubai but is it worth spending $3.5k - I don't think so but to others they are happy to do so, which is great for them I guess - we all have our different priorities in life :-)

        • 280 Sc one way not 180

          • @Lengyi3211: so $3.5k investment for platinum? Do you travel much?

            • @Jackjcca: Yes I do travel few
Not exactly 3:5k but with my other flights together, easily meet the target
But I also do the testing to see how it goes hahaha

              • @Lengyi3211: Enjoy the status when you get it…there are quite a few FB groups for Plat members…hopefully you do get the enjoy the First lounges overseas as well…don’t really rate the ones in Aus but the ones in Singapore and Dubai are great 😊

  • Ive got an option for this or double points. What's better? (Currently silver)
Does anyone know if the double points will count if you get a credit card and double it up too?

    Thanks OP

Meh. If you want the status for lounge memberships then I wouldn’t really bother. I have gold membership with Virgin and honestly I couldn’t care if I lost it. The lounge is ok to sit in and get some work done but the food is absolute shit to the point that I would prefer to hand over $20 for something edible from a café. It also is the same slop week after week. The atmosphere is a bit crap too and the lounges are pretty packed with people now. I guess free beer is ok. Worth all the stuffing around taking flights around just to get some points? Nah.

I also get to the airport just before my flight usually anyway, being at airports is not much fun.

I often get on the plane last so I don’t have to sit there as long, so jumping the queue isn’t much of a benefit.

They give me tiny discounts on flexi and business flights but it’s still bloody expensive for them.

These status programs are tuned against people, like casinos, and aren’t much benefit. They must have cut the cost of food to the bone now, having a Bain Maree sitting there all day keeping gloopy overcooked pasta with oil all over it warm must be cheap as hell. Don’t forget the tasteless watery soup with those little bread rolls.

I completely agree with what you both have said…enjoyed the benefits of having status when I do but cannot see the value in paying to maintain it esp when it is hard to justify the high prices Qantas charges for international airfares and the lack of any real benefit for Virgin benefits oitside of Australia. I believe the reciprocal benefits with other airlines may be ok but again I figured I would just spend my money as I see fit and not be “loyal” to Qantas or Virgin. To each his own though…

  • Question for ya'll. I get that the Flight has to be marketed and operated by Qantas but how about the Leased Finn Air planes flying Sydney to Singapore? They are being operated by Qantas and are not your traditional Code share. Would these flights qualify for the Double SC Promotion? I have a flight coming up to SIN and would prefer the timing of the Finn Air flights QF291/292.

Anybody here registered and NOT get the confirmation email?

    • Yes I haven't gotten an email, registered twice. I wonder if this will be an issue?

      • I re-registered this morning, still nothing. It's definitely not an email subscription thing, since I have the same issue with my wife and sons' accounts.

        • +1

Yeah I’ve gotten nothing but it shows on my app that I’ve selected it. Assume it’s good enough

          • +1

@Smol Cat: Try logging via desktop. I was able to register in both app and desktop site, but only got the confirmation email from the site.

            • @slartibartfast960: Oh every time I'm on that app on Desktop it just says to do it in the Qantas app. Doesn't even give me the option to do desktop weird.

  • If I book the flight an agent, do I still get the double status credit?
