What about from Johnny from Xi'an

  • May be 20% off tommoz? Looking for a.medium luggage. Is Delsey a better brand than American Tourister? Thanks

    • +1

As a brand, I'd say Delsey has more old-school prestige.

Are you looking for your luggage to give you old-school prestige? If so pick the Delsey.

      • +1

I just want the more durable/higher quality luggage which won't break mid trip or within 2 years haha

        • +1

I have these (whole set), did 4 weeks in the UK last year without any issues. Has a double-layer zip for security as well.

          • @Monsta-AU: Yeah, that's a nice feature. Would you think that this is more medium or large size? Thanks

        • Have a very large Delsey that is about 5 years old. The expander zipper just died but the rest of it is solid as. Would buy another.

  • Thanks, order one from another seller, 83cm for 143 delivered.

      What seller?

      • love-luggage-au, there is still last one, Delsey Clavel 83cm Hardsided white/blue, 153

    • They charged shipping but also just bought, thank you. Not a fan of the color but we'll see how it goes.

      • It is free shipping, plus $10 voucher, so it is 143 delivered

        • mine charged me :( maybe my post code?

    • Do airlines allow 83cm as standard luggage. I read total dimensions for each luggage piece must not exceed 158cm (62in)

Something more important than "features" that the manufacturer lists first.

    Weight: 3.84kg.
    Capacity: 99+7 Litres.
    External Dimensions: 51.5cm (l) x 76cm (h) x 30/32cm (w).

    • Thanks 106L total volume is pretty good actually. Would like to know durability of wheels (will google tonight). Thanks.

I have this bag and it's been great though unfortunately on my first international trip the luggage handlers must of been super rough and they scratched it up real good. So don't expect it to stay nice and shiny for long if that's what you care about. Weight and capability has been great though.

You'll need a suitcase cover to prevent that

      • +1

Never thought of using a suitcase cover. I'd say the surface material on this one is a bit harder and more prone to scratching when sliding along rough surfaces compared to some other suitcases.

    • Thanks for feedback, how do you find the wheels durability? Thanks

      • +2

Wheels have been great no issues so far. Seerns pretty tough overall. As said only minor complaint is prone to scratching compared to the previous Samsonite I had.

Thanks a lot. Appreciate your feedback.

I think scratched beaten up bag is a good thing. Less shiny and lucrative for someone to steal from.

It's kinda like buying expensive Louis Vuitton luggage - why would someone want to draw attention to themselves like that lol

          • +2

@montorola: Agree. I used to like travelling with an old ugly suitcase especially around poorer countries so not to draw attention. This bag still looks good enough with some scratch marks but not fancy enough to draw attention. Brand new it's pretty schmick though IMO

I have this model. I found the zipper is super tight. Easy to get stratches too.

  • Wish this was lighter.

    • Seems pretty light for the size honestly. Seen 55cm carry-ons heavier than this.

We have 2 of these suitcases. Agree they do scratch up a little easy however they performed well for 3.5 weeks of travel to multiple destinations in the USA and Canada.

As they are a double zipper some might find the zip not super smooth to close but we had no issues. We have only used them once overseas but no issues with lugging them around everywhere and manoeuvrability was great.. for the price and build its a pretty awesome buy.

  • Tangerine Orange 76cm is still available.

Can't miss that on the carousel….

so no one can, depending on your level of paranoia

      • steal things from your case

      • put 'items' into your case that shouldnt be there

Not that I do it. I dont travel with anything in my suitcase that creates problems if it is stolen (some random clothes etc - annoying but not significant) and not really concerned about the latter.

    • Keeps the roast duck fresh.

  • Yikes. I hope thats not the one i bought last year for $285.

    Great luggage.

  • For those that bought this/already have one, does the 76cm include wheel?
