I was in need of a new 1080p monitor because my Qnix 27inch monitor has no hdmi or display port to use my new RX 6600. There are adapters but its not cheap, so decided to get a cheap monitor for 1080p gaming. Thought it might come in handy for those who need a cheap 1080p monitor.

  • FreeSync and GSync are inter compatible on recent graphics cards yeah?

    • You can’t use Gsync module displays with freesync video cards but you can use freesync with any card.

Just a note, the underlying technology of older HDMI is just DVI, so your 27Inch should work fine with a HDMI to DVI cable, which looks to be about $15 on amazon

I had one of those Korean QNIX panels too, they only work with dual-link DVI and all the cheap cables are for single link DVI to HDMI.

      • ah of course!

      • I've found a lot of BS with DVI converters. Sometimes they only work on one end of the cable (eg at the PC end) rather than the screen end. So might be worth a bit of fiddling for anyone else. They are much cheaper on AliExpress.

I ordered this last month from Amazon AU when they were $118. Decent screen, but the plastic stand is wobbly.

  • Would this be ok for Nintendo switch in a spare room?

  • If i have a GTX1650, im better off getting a monitor with G-sync, right?

Nah, this will be more than fine

  • 27" at $159 isnt too bad either https://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-27mr400-b

    • That was fast. Sold out now.

  • great deal, but too small for me. i switched to a curved 32 and can't go back.

  • What's the difference between the 24MR400-B and the 24MP400-B apart from the MP being flat?

    • +1

The 24MP400-B is 75hz, the 24MR400-B is the replacement model.

  • 75Hz Refresh rate vs 100Hz Refresh Rate.

Can you notice such minor difference though?

  • "There are adapters but its not cheap"

    Cheaper than $119. 😀

I know what you mean. But believe me, with Qnix you cant just buy any adapter. And Im going to use this new monitor for consoles too which you cant do with Qnix. Qnix is a fantastic monitor but its limited in connectivity with one dvi port. Its also like 10 years old which could fail any time. Dont want to spend more on a monitor adapters that may not even work. (there are reports of this with other Qnix users)

  • I've got the 27MR400-B and not too shabby for use with my Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 (Ryzen 3 3250U) with FreeSync, mine has a CSOT panel according to the service mode.

  • can anyone recommend a QHD glossy monitor? not many if not none around. There's one I know of but it is super expensive.

  • OOS.
