Looks like the price of this has come down closer to what the RX6700XT was selling for at release but this needs to be around $450-550 to be worth buying over the RX7800XT with its 16GB's of memory

Too expensive for what it is.
    Prices will/need to come down.

  • how much better are these from a 6600 XT? is it worth the upgrade?

  • This or a RX 7600 XT 16GB Video Card? Need to upgrade badly from my 10606gb but will need to up the pus as well as its only a 550 :(

    • if you don't want to upgrade your 550w PSU the RTX4060 is very efficient and should be fine as uses less than the GTX1060

      • +1

RTX4060 is a really good option

    • +2

This RX 7700 XT is much faster then a RX7600XT around 50-60% faster

The 16GB's of memory on the RX7600XT is wasted because the GPU core is not fast enough and its memory bandwidth is too low.

      • Thanks guys, considering a 4060 only thing is I play on a 2k monitor :/ unless a 4060 would suit me well then for it

        • I'm using a 4060 right now mainly at 1080p gaming, and it's ok/fine, it will get the job done but anything higher than 1080p then expect stuttering in games, runs out of Vram too quick and it's 128bit memory bus plus it's PCIE 4.0 @ 8x speeds gimps the card even more. I'd honestly go with a RTX 3060 12GB. Also what brand/model PSU are you using?

          • @BarryBurrito: Gamers nexus did a thing on the performance of GPUs using 16x, 8x and 4x lanes, the performance difference is surprisingly (profanity) all for most models.

          • @BarryBurrito: I disagree, I have two systems for my Kids, one has the 4060 and one the 3060 12gb, same CPU R9 2700x and both at 1080p, the 4060 is significantly faster than the 3060

  • Hmmm I'm considering upgrading my old 1650 Super (4Gb)…. Saw the RX 6600 on sale for 289 delivered last week, and this RX 7700 XT seems to be about twice as fast as that, but a bit more than twice as expensive. Hopefully the price comes down a bit soon.

    • It likely will, considering the 8000 series is expected in Q4 of this year. As early as Q3 and as late as next year Q1.

It's been down to $355usd, even adding gst that's still under $600 here, so that is the max I would pay. My poor old RX 470 will need to hold on for a bit longer.

Haven't been on here for a while. Is this one of the better deals going around lately? $650 seems poor for a mid range card

I guess it's a better deal than that flog who was selling ex mining EX 6800 on here for like $450 lol.

  • FYI this has dropped another $20 (not sure when). I noticed last week and cancelled my Amazon order for a 6750XT that was $566 and grabbed this 7700XT at $629 delivered instead.
