  • Interesting they have capped to 100mbps

  • Anyone have experience with amaysim over catch? Was on gomo $15 prepaid before, but gomo forced evereyone onto catch which I've found not as good for reception. All these providers seem to be 4g Optus, but gomo just felt a lot better than catch so looking to switch.

They should be the same. My partner is with catch, I’m amaysim. I used to also have an Optus sim next to my amaysim esim and there was no difference.

      • I think the only time you’ll notice a difference is during massive crowds like new years day where optus will perform much better than it’s mvnos.

  • +5

All these posts about reception or speed being awful are quite unhelpful. I literally now have a Telstra and Amaysim sim in the same phone and some places Optus is better; some places Telstra is. If you’re unsure, get a $2 sim and try them all out.

  • For those wondering for when it needs to be activated by, confirmed through live chat according to T&Cs you have 3 months of within purchase date to activate.

    • Interesting, I just bought it few minutes ago. Looking at the inner pack says activate within 12 months of purchase.

  • Is this deal in-store only? Cannot seem to find it online

    • Yeah I bought it in store, couldn't find online. MELVILLE, WA.

  • just got this email - So while your coverage on the Optus 4G Plus network remains as strong as ever, from 3 July 2023, your $149 UNLIMITED 120GB plan will have a maximum download speed of 100Mbps

  • Thanks - bought it today.
I used 10% off monthly (WW insurance) + 4% off gift card (purchased via nrma). I think I paid net $141.9.
Also 1000 points equate to $5 so net should be 136.9.

  • Thanks. I bought 2 along with few groceries (worth $50) using wish gift card
