  • This is tempting, but does anyone know if there is going to be a GOY kind of version of this due to a fair amout of DLC for this game ?

    • I think it's very possible sometime down the track. Rockstar often do versions like that. However $23.59 is very cheap for the standard game.

Problem with this is that its the US version.

        • Why? Xbox (at least mine) is region free.

NTSC vs. PAL ?!? Doesn't matter in case of XBOX360 games anymore.

        • DLC.

Also Xbox isn't region free, many games are region free but not all of them.

Duchy - you'd be the only person in the world with a region free Xbox 360. NTSC/NTSC-J is sometimes a problem. Though decreasingly so. This game is definitely region free though (as the item page states). I've never had trouble with DLC for imported games and 75% of my games are sourced this way.

        • +1

99% of DLC is region free for the Xbox. And 75% of stats are made up.
Seriously though, I've never had a problem with DLC compatibility with any game. I'll often buy a UK/AUS version of a game but buy the DLC off a US account as it's cheaper, and it runs fine.
This game is region free. It's the US released version, but it is region free, as is indicated by the text saying "no region protection" next to the US flag, and the green tick next to NTSC,NTSC-J and PAL regions under the compatibility section … This is 110% region free, and any DLC you buy will work with it no problems at all regardless of if it's from the AUS store or another.

        • I was actually referring to PS3 when I posted, didnt realise this was 360 only deal. Anyhooo I never knew 360 DLC was region free, good to know.

  • been wanting to play this for a while, nice price

    • If you do end up getting it, I recommend not playing it on Hard. I'm quite a proficient gamer (if I do say so myself) but the Hard difficulty was just way too infuriating. Not satisfyingly punishing like Dark/Demon's Souls - but unfair. I almost didn't finish it because of this.

      • I never found it too difficult on hard. I guess I'm more proficient ;)

        • It was the timing of bullet time that gnawed me the most, too often my closest target was obscured somehow

Really? I play pretty much every game on the hardest difficulty but found the enemies just way overly accurate in MP3. Getting headshotted over and over again from 50 metres away by some lowly goon with a pistol was never fun. I must have repeated some late-game sections 40 times.

On the other hand, playing Arkham City on the hardest difficulty was, in the beginning, really quite punishing. However, once I got used to the controls I was throwing minions this way and that. You could get used to it. With Max Payne, no amount of skill could stop those random headshots. Probably realistic I guess - now that I think about it.

I guess you are just more proficient, beakeroo! :P

      • Good old Dark Souls, playing that now. 7 Achievements off full completion and on my New Game +. Such a brutal yet satisfying game :)

  • Should really add the $5 shipping to your post

  • Pity it's not $25 USD…would've qualified for free shipping.

Anything for $1.10 USD on their site :P

Heh, just placed the order it was around $25AUD after using $3 affiliate credit. then noticed on ebay there are aussie sellers selling for $29.95 free shipping so not a huge saving.
