For this price point, 16GB soldered is fine, at least it isn't 12GB.

        • 12GB usually mean 4GB soldered and a removeable 8GB stick.

      • I meant the SSD my bad

          Well thats replaceable.

  • Thanks for the bold fonts, thats actually really helpful

  • 17.8 is quite a large screen

    • Commenting in the wrong post? The laptop is 16"

still too big 16 " are meant to be soldered taped and welded onto your table. You then have to bring your table along if you want to bring it out.

        • Not much bigger than laptops before at 15 6"

Oh sure you can get 14" and 13" laptops now. But you cant beat screen real estate on a 16" and still be under 2kg.

        • ? May be you need to go to the gym. Search Dell XPS 1730M.

          • @carrawa: Missed opportunity to say… do you even lift.

            • @xoom: Not any more.

The XPS was 6 kg, power brick 1 kg itself. If they had at least a 20" laptop at very cheap price, I would consider it.

Performance wise looks solid, though I'm highly sceptical about the comparatively small 47Whr battery on a 16" screen. Combined with a non-type C charger, this really isn't designed to be used on the go.

Soldered 16GB is okay, but really it's the standard now and its lack of upgradeability is a sizeable downside for the future

Also note that this is Zen 3, not Zen 4 APU, as signified by the 3rd digit of the 7xxx model name

Otherwise, looks solid for the price; a large laptop that will stay plugged in most of the time, and won't be used for too much on battery

    • I'm pretty sure you can charge via usb-c

  • AMD Ryzen 5 7530U Processor +$59 showing as $100
    16 GB DDR4-3200MHz (Soldered) +$29 Showing as $50

Total at checkout after coupon discount is applied is $812.06

    • Expired. Ram expansion is not longer an option

    • I also added WIN11pro64 and backlit keyboard, become $1003.06

      • Seem expensive. $200 odd or so more just for backlit keyboard and win11 pro.

        • From the basic configuration

          CPU, +100
          WIN11pro, +120
          16G RAM, +50
          512G SSD, +40
          backlit keyboard, +30
