urgh, thats enough reason for me to never order anything through this site.

        • -2

Not a good enough reason for a neg though.

What sort of a sucker would pay $10 for food delivery?

Perhaps the same sort of people who watch A Current Affair. Wouldn't be surprised to see this mentioned on there.

Hi where does it say $10 delivery fee? I paid with PayPal but there was no delivery charge, did I miss something?

Hopefully delivery is quicker than you normally get from COTD :)

I compared prices of my local pizza shop on their private website vs. their prices on eatnow.

Pizza size | Pizza shop private website price | Pizza shop eatnow website price
    Small | $6.50 | $9.90
    Large | $8.50 | $14.50
    Family | $12.50 | $16.50

    I order 2 large pizzas on the private website and I pay 2 X $8.50 = $17.00
    I order 2 large pizzas on the eatnow website and I pay (2 X $14.50 - $5.00) X 75% = $18.00

Paying an extra $1.00 is not what I call a great deal.

      Hey Matt!

We're sorry you found a price difference on the site, EatNow doesn't mark up any prices so this is an error on our part. We actually have a best guarantee meaning if you find the restaurants prices to be different from ours we will refund the difference and give you a $5 credit for your next order.

Would be great if you can message me the name of the restaurant so I can follow this up and correct our pricing and I can throw you a credit as well!

translation "that company broke the rules they agreed to when they signed up to "eatnow" and now COTD want to know who it is to screw them over big time"?

if COTD wasnt making a profit off these companies they list why would they waste there time/money on the site in the beginning?

      • Yup it's Johnny Boys in postcode 3173.

eatnow? more like screwednow. no bargain.

it depends where you live and the restaurant…I just ordered and paid via paypal got my $5 off (but no 25% off as it says above) and wasnt charged any delivery fee, but the restaurant rang and said there was a delivery charge and the eatnow website was all wrong so cancelled it. I had to phone eatnow to get it sorted, but even when the food was delivered the driver wanted payment in full plus the delivery fee. Not sure who was at fault but it wasnt me, and was a very frustrating experience.

    • Hi Molla22 we are very sorry for your experience.

Please contact us privately at [email protected] as we would like to provide you with a credit to try the service again and we can follow up with the restaurant regarding the delivery charge.

Many of our restaurants offer great specials and discounts but not all of them offer the 25% discount as mentioned above.

      Thanks.

You're responding now but are you going to stop responding if your site gets bigger and the complaints come tumbling in?

How about addressing some of the Scoopon complaints in the group buying forum?
