Do you have a 3 pin grounded adapter? Everytime I connect these to macbook, i get that slight shocky feeling. Only a macbook adapter when connected to 3 pin cable, does not cause this.

    • Unfortunately not. It comes with a 2 Pin Figure 8 power cable.

Too bad there isnt a proper replacement for a MBP adapter anywhere on the 3rd party market. I have a 65W zyron which works perfectly fine without any coil whine or overheating, but that shocky feeling annoys me.

        • +2

It's double insulated hence 2 pins, shock might be static ….

        • I've bought one of these in Verbatim 200w chargers in Hong Kong. Don't know if they retail in Australia. 3 Pin power, can charge a Surface Pro 7+ and m1 Macbook air at the same time (these individually probably draw less power than a Macbook pro). It did charge an old XPS15 that normally required 130w charger.

I did sometimes get tingles/vibration from the M1 using a figure 8 usb-c charger, but don't notice it with the 3 pin charger that I have.

          ymmv.

        • Can you use a socket with an isolator switch so you're plugging it in with power switched off, then flick it on once connected? Probably can't achieve this everywhere you use the device, but just a thought.

          • @JownehFixIT: I just read about isolator switch, but i dont understand how that helps tho. Can you explain more please? Thanks.

            • @John Doh: Sorry, you're talking about a crackle when connecting at the Macbook, not connecting at the wall socket. I was talking about a switch on the power source so it would not be live when plugging it in to the wall/power board. But you're talking about the Macbook end. My bad.

For those wondering, I bought this last time and it has been good - nothing to complain about.

OP, do I get a further discount if I buy another? :)

    • Sure if you are buying more than 1 unit or include other items in your purchase.

      • I meant because I already bought one last time you posted. Anyway I have put through another order.

      • Total discount of $0.01 when buying two :-)

    • How long you had it? You ever do over 100w charging?

      • Not really. Mainly 2x 18w fast charging phones

    OP https://zyrontech.com.au/products/extension-cord-for-powerpo…
will this fit with the old type 66W? cant find on your website or amazon anymore… the prongs looks similar

    • +2

It will fit but not perfectly. That's the reason we do not recommend to buy as there needs to be a perfect connection to avoid any electric hazard. For the old Powerpod models we still have the old extension cables with AU plug. Please contact us via the Chat with Us button on the website to place order for it.

  • Is this a GaN charger or traditional?

    • Super Silicon but yet as efficient and as compact as GaN

  • +1

I purchased this product without realizing that while charging my S22 Ultra at one USB-C port, it provides 45W Superfast 2.0 charging, which is great. However, if I use the other USB-C port for anything else, even charging my Galaxy Watch 5, the phone's charging speed decreases to 30W Superfast only.

Is this normal behavior, or is my device defective? The product was advertised as having a 60W output for each USB-C port when both are used.
