I'm using this right now. Required manual setup for my location (had to manually select random operators until it started working with one). That's not unusual for eSIMs, so this isn't a negative comment.

    • @bloomer: What forms of ID does it ask for setup?

      • +1

        None

    • Should I setup first at Australia then toggle off the esim setting and toggle on when arrive at destination?

      • Setting up, basically yes. Just don't turn it on

    • @bloomer is there any country specific instructions?

      • Yes, but not obvious, depending on where you are on their app.

    • pos vote you for such a balanced comment

  • Wow, it's the perfect solution for me. Am returning to Vietnam in a few months and I like to book a GRAB (Uber equivalent) once I've exited customs. You can use the airport wifi but it doesn't reach out to the stand which is a pain when you're trying to see the car arrive and communicate with the driver on the app. So many of the sim sellers at the airport are a scam too, so I prefer to wing it until I can get to a proper telco store the next day.

Doesn't this free 1GB esim still work?

    • ah even better. yours and redbull. 2gb and free. thanks

  • Great!!!
    Bought 1 for my dad.

  • Boo, no Singapore.

  • Does anyone have any estimate of how long 1 gig would last for a typical traveller? So let's say using wifi wherever possible (ie at accomodation, cafes etc, and yes I'm fully vpn'd up) and only needing the data when out of convenient wifi range for a bit of map navigation where offline maps aren't sufficient, some google lens translating, and random browsing on the fly to check timetables and whatnot.

    TIA

    • Easily a month if you're not using it much like in the usecase you described. However, it really depends on how much you're browsing the web which I find uses the majority of data for me.

Just started receiving circles.life spam to my jetpac email address :/

    • LOL yea they're affiliated

  • does anyone know how many times we can buy this?

  • have good network partners on their site (Telstra, Vodafone, T-Mobile)

I thought roaming SIMs couldn't access Telstra? Interesting
