          • @ethanio12345: Except if Christ was around today, he'd be giving Monty Python a big thumbs up for giving the middle finger to the establishment, and you lot of judgey, preachy whiners who call yourselves his followers a big thumbs down.

            • @GrueHunter: Jesus had no problems with "establishments" per se (and actively encouraged people to participate in them with a right heart), but he did have a big problem with people in their hipocrisy…I don't like being personally attacked by people who don't know me.

              I'm not going to attack you personally, that's not my style, but please make sure the information within your rebuttals are consistent and truthful before posting them…and please don't misrepresent someone who you likely don't represent yourself.

    My favorite Biblical term is "porneia" (πορνεία).

    “The body is not meant for porneia but for the Lord” (1 Corinthians 6:13).

    “Flee from porneia. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body” (1 Corinthians 6:18).

    “But among you there must not be even a hint of porneia, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people” (Ephesians 5:3).

    “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid porneia” (1 Thessalonians 4:3).

    Porneia on the part of a spouse is noted by Jesus as a legitimate reason for divorce (Matthew 19:9).

    A few related terms:

    "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (malakoi), nor abusers of themselves with mankind (arsenokoitai), nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

    It's not often you see Biblical quotations on OzBargain. And I am not even a practising Christian, I'm a Panenthist with an interest in religions and philosophy. And one thing I know is that human beings love "sinning".
